Of course a new cassette is always painful... Especially if you choose the even more expensive 12 speed version from Sram! Therefore, this XG-1275-GX is also a good choice, works just as well, is more affordable and that extra weight? Oh well, not that much.

For me a step up the quality scale, from NX to GX. And what a difference. Crisper shifting, no problems with rattling gears or the chain jumping off. Admittedly, I have only tested about ten miles, but it seems promising. I like SRAM's XD driver interface, feels much more solid than the old one, which NX sits on. Furthermore, I think it is nice that it is "one piece" cassette.

The 52 is really big, and you may not need it. But for the really technical stretches, it can still be a godsend. Perfectly compatible with a "regular" Eagle derailleur (despite other reports), shifts just fine. Still quite expensive, but all Eagle parts are.

Coming from the older 2x10 setup the 52t 12 speed cassette is a game changer. The ratios compared to the old tech are barely noticeable so you have the simplicity and reliability of the 12x1 setup, without any loss from the 20 speed setup.

Poor quality product. The original cassette that came with the bike lasted approx. 700kms before the smaller gear rings were worn to a point that the chain was skipping.

Ordered as a straight replacement. Was pretty expensive even with the discount from mantel, but when it arrived you could see the quality and work that goes into it. Really nice

A like for like replacement on my orange 5. It seems to do the job and has cured my drivetrain woes (along with a new chain and chainring). Man, when did these drivetrains get so expensive........

Definitely worth the cost if you like to ride fast for long distances. Granted it needs a XD driver so the cost goes up but definitely the best upgrade so far

I had to replace my Sram cassette on my new bike as the cassette had a manufacturer fault. Mantel were brilliant in the supply of the new cassette. I got 3000 miles out of my first GX 12 speed 10-50t cassette. Hoping for the same again. In the same period I used 3 GX chains. I have recently switched to X01 chain and to steel RaceFace chain ring (from alloy) to improve the overall lifetime of the drive-train. The only disappointment is the relatively high price of the cassette but it is a near-unique product in offering 500% range.
