Highly recommended

- Nine, 16 September, 2024

Was exciting. I really needed another saddle though. Pain also at my lady parts. But it wasn't too bad. Wouldn't want anything else now.

Pros & Cons

Adapts fairly quickly
Finally no pain in my groin when cycling for a long time
Sits firmly
Get used to a slightly harder saddle

An asset if you want a skirted saddle.

After cycling 400 km in 5 days, still enthusiastic about this skirt saddle It sits well and gives excellent support.

Most comfortable saddle ever

- Janet, 19 August, 2020

Having run out of tolerance with my old traditional saddle and deciding that, for my style of cycling, it's entirely unnecessary to suffer the pain that results from what is effectively perching on a 'ridge', research led me to Mantel and this saddle. Initially I wasn't sitting in the optimum 90 degree position as my handlebars needed some adjustment but the difference was nonetheless obvious immediately. No one has actually been able to explain exactly why, as a leisure cyclist, a narrow, hard, nosed saddle is appropriate ("to keep your thighs from chafing", "only people with big bums buy alternative style saddles and we tend to snigger at them") but there is plenty of scientific evidence that they can be unsuitable and harmful. My rear is small and bony and this saddle is perfect. When I sit back on it the day after a long ride, my bum doesn't complain at all!
