Worth money

- Cor, 30 September, 2024

I am a somewhat heavier cyclist and as a result, I have more frequent breakdowns than most, especially when cycling on thin tyres. However, these tyres still allow me to enjoy the benefits of the GP5000, but with extra puncture protection. For me, these are the perfect racing tyres. I have them in 35 and 28 mm and both are great!

Good buy for any cyclist who wants to ride well

- Gilbert, 1 April, 2024

Bought this tyre as I ride throughout the season. The chance of getting a puncture in the rain is a lot less. Definitely worth investing in this.

Pros & Cons

Very good tyre. Comfortable and durable

- Wim, 13 March, 2024

Chosen these tyres because of participation in the Strade Bianche grandfondo. Used them tubeless and with low tyre pressure this gives super comfort. Had no problems during the granfondo and the tyres still look good (+/- 1500 km ridden with them so far).

Pros & Cons

Comfort
Durable
Good roadholding

Mis-selling

- Henk, 8 November, 2023

I have a set of these tyres, one of which punctured after 500km and another after 1000km. I ride with inner tubes and when removing the tyres, I noticed that there was already a lot of water between the outer and inner tubes. In one tyre at least, the leak was caused by a tiny piece of split that cut/punctured through the so-called anti-puncture layer or vectran breaker. Both outer tyres on the inside but taped for waterproofing now, as they are expensive tyres and the tread is still as good as new. In terms of warranty, Mantel didn't give a home. Risk user it is and the terms anti-puncture etc say nothing then. Previously had the regular Conti 4000 and the Grand Prix All Seasons and both were a lot more solid. Drove 10000km with those without any problems or punctures. This tyre is a mis-buy. Unfortunately, I am only now seeing a lot of negative reviews about this tyre and they seem very justified to me.

Pros & Cons

rides smoothly
road holding is good
expensive
hardly fits on the rim
no anti-leak

Fine all-rounder.

- Ruud, 30 October, 2023

Fast tyre with good grip. Slightly too lightly built for a really robust winter tyre.

Pros & Cons

Fast
Just a little more grip than the regular 5000 tlr
Just a little more rubber against punctures
2 running layers, 3 would have been better

Top quality

- Stefan, 7 June, 2023

So far the tire is very well liked. Rolling resistance is said to be lower than the regular GP 5000 TR but this is not noticeable. Feels durable but of course remains to be seen.

Pros & Cons

Durable
Fast delivery
More expensive than the ordinary GP TR
