Great device for the recreational cyclist
This bike GPS computer works well, have been using it for 2 months now. Advantage is definitely the long battery life. Navigation works well, takes some getting used to the turn-by-turn navigation. It takes some puzzling to get all the settings right, the Dutch translation of the manual on the internet and the Dutch text in the Rider 420 are not always translated logically. Otherwise a great device, especially as it can be used while cycling without having to activate the Bryton app on the phone. Hope to enjoy it for a long time to come.

Great quality for this price
Works well, battery lasts a long time. Pairing with heart rate monitors etc goes very smoothly. I did the first update/sync with my computer via cable because it did not work via the app. Creating routes is very simple, but you have to sit down for a while in the beginning. Then it works great. Reading is sometimes difficult, especially on stretches where several streets meet. But as an extra support it is fine! All in all satisfied for this price!

Surprisingly good for the money
Previously, I navigated on my phone but had to carry a thick power bank. So I was looking for a bike computer mainly for navigating routes I create in Komoot. It had to be easy to operate, have a long battery life and be bug-free. It lived up to all that. Navigating without a map, using only a line, with the help of turn-by-turn directions and street names works fine. You don't actually need maps. I planned a test route of 80km with lots of turns, zigzagging through villages and it went very well. The Bryton app provides the route with turn-by-turn directions and street names. Not a single hickup, not once got stuck. Every turn well indicated. Great! What I also like is the neat little box: no waste of packaging material. It comes with several rubber mounting rings and a safety cord. The app on the phone is a bit straightforward but it all works well, with no bugs. In the app, you can very easily set the fields on the up to 7 (!) data screens. The device adopts these settings instantly, even while I'm doing this on the side, during an active ride. Integration with Komoot unfortunately only works 1 way: planned routes to the device do download but completed activities are not uploaded automatically, that has to be done manually. That's not a problem. With Strava, that also works automatically. During navigation, there are subtle chirps just before you need to turn. Very pleasant and clear. There are 2 buttons on the back: on/off/light and pause/stop. You won't need those while driving, so it's actually nice that they're on the back. You just have to remember which is which (but there are only two). Planning routes in the app itself is also possible and these can be downloaded directly to the device. Could be handy if you want to return home or something ? This little device is highly recommended for navigating routes !

Value for money
The battery is fantastic, the device is super economical. The stats are customisable, besides you have the option to put simple schedules in the app. The UX of the iPhone app is ramshackle. Using the device itself is super simple. The button for illuminating the display is on the back, early in the spring that can be a bit tricky to press with gloves.

If you are looking for a good, functional and extremely affordable bike computer, the Bryton Ri
The Bryton Rider 420 E is my first bike computer with GPS and I am totally positively surprised. It works immediately after start-up. The pages with lots of data can be set very easily via the mobile app.

Does what it needs to do.
Works fine, navigation is clearly no map but in my opinion that is also not the way on a small screen, turn by turn is simple but clear.
