Pros & Cons
Pros & Cons
- The CushCore not only provides better damping, but also protects the rim during hard vertical impacts.
- When cornering, the sideways rolling of the tyres is prevented, giving you more stability when cornering.
- With CushCore the rolling resistance is reduced so that your forward momentum lasts longer.
- CushCore provides extra weight in the tyres, but this is offset by its many benefits.

Extra protection and improved handling
If you often ride hard and aggressively over rocky terrain, the CushCore Pro will protect your rim from damage thanks to the improved damping. The CushCore Pro also increases stability and cornering speed by preventing the tyre from rolling sideways. Same for the straight stretches on rocky terrain, you'll notice that the CushCore Pro improves handling as the tyre is less jumpy and will therefore feel more stable.
Additionally, the rolling resistance is reduced by the CushCore Pro inserts, so your forward momentum will last longer and you can continue to perform at full speed. Moreover, thanks to the CushCore it is possible to ride with a lower tyre pressure, without experiencing most of the adverse effects associated with low pressure tyres.
Including valves
The set also comes with sleek and green coloured CushCore valves. These are specially designed for use with all CushCore inserts. The air comes out at the side instead of the top, as with normal valves. As otherwise they would be blocked by the CushCore inserts.
• 44 mm CushCore Presta valve
• Rim stickers

Goed, eens geïnstalleerd
Werkt goed, zeker betere grip in de corners op lagere druk. Wel wat moeilijker met downhill casing banden om alles erop te krijen.

I haven't tried it yet but I know it's the best in its category.

Essential
As I say in the title it is an essential product whatever the discipline of mtb, in my case enduro e-mtb, which I think it is even more important to mount Cushcore on both wheels because of the weight of the e-bikes and the aggressive discipline. I've been riding the rear wheel for more than a year and now I've also done it on the front and the sensations when riding the bike are another world compared to not wearing it, much less pressure on the tyres which gives you extra comfort and traction as well as reading the terrain better without fear of getting a puncture or a flat and in case of a puncture, you can finish the descent without air in your tyres and that's it. You also have extra cushioning and precision as the wheels don't deform when cornering thanks to the cushcore. It is true that it costs a little to install but if you follow the instructions of the brand well it is not so much. Very happy with the product and although it is true that "fatten" the bike a little, I think it's worth those extra grams for the benefits it offers, which in my opinion, is the best rim protector that there is right now.
