Description
The Northwave Rebel 2 mountain bike shoe is a good stiff shoe that is still comfortable enough for long rides. Northwave has achieved this by using a stiff Carbon XC12 sole which is reinforced with a full carbon insert at the part where the cleat is mounted. This causes minimal bend of the shoe with every pedal stroke, so you won't lose any force. Because the rest of the sole is more nylon based, it still feels comfortable while cycling, so you won't get sore feet on a long ride.
The upper deck of the Northwave Rebel 2 cycling shoe is slim and aerodynamic and fits well to prevent the foot from sliding back and forth in the shoe. The strategically placed TPU material prevents damage occurring from having to get off or bumping into things during rough rides. You can adjust the shoe by means of the Northwave SLW-2 turning system. This allows you to adjust the shoe easily and precisely with a turn of the wheel. The wires are pulled tight around the foot and do not create pressure spots on the foot thanks to their even distribution. Finally, Northwave Rebel 2's Performance Regular footbed makes this shoe comfortable and suitable for every type of rider.
• Stiffness index of 12.0 out of 14.0
• TPU material placed at strategic locations
• Double SLW-2 fastening system
• Performance Regular footbed for good support and comfort
In order to help you, as best we can, to choose the right size shoe we have measured all the shoes ourselves. All that's left for you to do is measure your own foot length, and we'll tell you which shoe size per brand suits you best. Does your foot length in mm not appear on the relevant product's page? Then that particular shoe is not available in a size that suits your foot length.
You can easily measure your foot length using an A4 sheet of paper, placed on the floor against a wall. Stand with one foot on the piece of paper, with your heel against the wall. Draw a line above your big toe (or above the index toe if that is longer). Now mark your other foot on the paper in the same way. Measure both - the measurement of your longest foot is your foot length in mm's! Please note: some manufacturers have their own measuring system, and as a result what appears on the shoebox can deviate from what we have measured.
What shoe size you need can differ per brand. This is because certain brands wear larger or smaller. To help you get the perfect fit, we've also classified the shoes as narrow, average, or wide fit. Read all about it in our blog!
