Cyclowax Basic Wax

Cyclowax Basic Wax makes your bike chain perform optimally on every ride, regardless of weather or terrain. The wax significantly reduces friction, keeps the chain clean and extends its life by up to three times. The wax' even composition keeps the chain running smoothly and efficiently and allows for consistent and reliable power transfer on every use.

Material and composition
Cyclowax Basic Wax uses a high-quality wax formula that is completely free of PFAS and other forever chemicals. Each tablet is optimised for multiple applications and melts at a temperature between 65 and 95°C. The controlled melting point ensures an even coating of the chain, reducing friction and minimising wear. The result is longer chain life and a consistently smooth feel in different weather conditions and riding styles.

Extras and finishes
The wax comes in the form of a compact tablet of about 200 grams that is good for about 12 applications. For maximum efficiency, use the wax at an optimal temperature of 95°C and with the recommended re-waxing distance of 300 km. For rides up to 500 km, the wax can be reapplied to keep the chain protected for a long time. Thanks to its low weight and practical packaging, the wax is easy to use with a Cyclowax dedicated wax heater for quick and efficient wax treatments.

Cyclowax Basic Wax is suitable for all types of bike chains, including road, gravel and mountain, and is compatible with chains of various speeds and diameters.

Apply by submerging the chain in a pot of hot wax or by using a Cyclowax dedicated wax heater. This versatile method guarantees even coverage and optimal chain performance regardless of chain type or use.
