Description
The Castelli Superleggera bib short is the ideal cycling shorts to use during the hottest days of summer. The fabric used by Castelli is the Gradient Stretch Woven material which is extremely lightweight but still gives enough support to the muscles during cycling. The braces are also made from extremely thin mesh to keep the trousers as light and breathable as possible. This makes them suitable for use in temperatures of up to 40 degrees. Saving weight is a key factor, as the Castelli Superleggera is up to 50% lighter than regular short trousers. Even the Castelli logo has been thought of to keep the trousers as airy as possible. The logo is not put on the trousers as is often done, but is embossed in the trouser leg so that it stretches well and contributes to the breathability of the trousers.
The grippers at the trouser legs are integrated and ensure that the trousers stay nicely in place. To complete the cycling shorts without compromising on comfort, this Castelli Superleggera bibshort is equipped with the Castelli Progetto X2 Air chamois.

This pad is designed to protect your skin and has the right thickness to protect you regardless of your time in the saddle. Better mention that you should definitely take 1 size bigger with these trousers compared to other brands

Bought these for indoor training (zwift). Had to go one size up though, normally with my size 31 an L is enough but it was really too tight, the XL fit much better. It's my first Castelli so can't really compare, but for training sessions of +- 1 hour on the tacx, I am very satisfied with it.
