The Nano Flex 3G fabric not only makes the Sorpasso RoS comfortably warm, it also repels water very well. A short rain shower won't be a problem, but do keep in mind that heavy rain will eventually penetrate the material. The front, back and thigh sections are made of Nano Flex Xtra Dry material to provide you with extra protection against the wind, rain and cold. The Castelli Sorpasso RoS fabric is highly stretchy for a comfortable fit.
Progetto X2 Air seat pad
Castelli's Progetto X2 Air chamois is ideal for cyclists who like to go for long rides. This chamois has been designed to protect your skin, and has the right thicknesses to protect you no matter how many hours you spend in the saddle. The top layer is made of 4-way-stretch microfibre and has no seams, minimising friction. The foam in the padding has been perforated by Castelli to make it highly breathable, and this chamois has two different sections to give you the best support where you need it most.
Anatomic fit with light compression
These bib tights have been pre-shaped into the cycling position, resulting in a minimum of creases while you're cycling. This is clearly noticeable in the curves at the knees and hips. The fabric stretches well and has a pleasant, tight fit around the legs. This causes light compression which supports your muscles well during your ride. The bib straps keep the tights in place, and lie flat so they won't cut into your skin.
The reflective elements complete these Castelli Sorpasso RoS long cycling bib tights and ensure that you're highly visible during the cold, dark winter months!

Pleasant trousers, good quality. Highly recommended
Pleasant cycling shorts. Been on the road with them a couple of times now. Up to 10 degrees (with limited fresh wind) it is still doable -- above that it is quickly too warm. I hope to find out whether it is also sufficiently warm in frosty conditions next winter. Same goes for riding in wet conditions -- no experience with that yet. I anticipate that some splash water will be stopped, but at some point the wetness will seep through. Nice that the trouser legs feature reflective stripes and zips for easy on and off. The fit, like any other Castelli garment, is on the small side. Definitely order one size bigger (I doubt in hindsight maybe I should have ordered an even bigger size -- now opted for M with 1.78m, 67kg and I have relatively long legs). Deliberately chose these trousers because of good reviews and great offer. I wouldn't have paid the original price for them. I also really like the Progetto X2 Air chamois on other trousers, and was therefore partly decisive in choosing these trousers.

Top quality!!!
Now done 1 ride of 3.5 hours. Some pain in the buttocks. But the chamois stays in place well and does not rub.
