Bontrager's integrated MTB steerer tube system is easy to install and locks securely into place. The Bontrager Bits do not require you to thread your steerer tube or make any other modifications to your bike. At the bottom of the BITS holder there is a clamp, with which you turn the two ends towards each other by tightening a bolt. The top and bottom of the BITS holder are twisted together, so the system remains firmly in place!
Handheld multi-tool with the most essential tools
The Bontrager BITS integrated multi-tool is made from an ultra-light yet strong aluminium with sturdy and lightweight CNC-milled spanners. The multi-tool contains allen keys of 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 mm, a Torx T25 screwdriver and a flat screwdriver. The multi-tool sleeve contains a chain tool and a storage area for loose quick-links. This ensures you have all the tools you need.
Compatibility
This BITS multi-tool with holder is compatible with unthreaded MTB forks, as well as other non-carbon steerer tubes. The included spacers and bolts of two different lengths allow you to finish your handlebars in the best possible way. Also, this multi-tool is suitable for storage in the new Trek Domane frame!

a comprehensive, well-integrated tool
I haven't used the tool yet but the system is very well thought out (chain holder, chain remover in addition to the usual tools), complete and easy to remove. It takes a long time to install because you have to remove the armature spacers to fit it perfectly and the low safety circlip is difficult to fit (fortunately I have a circlip pliers otherwise it's almost impossible to fit it).

Perfect!!!
Bought this as a Christmas present for my brother he is into enduro mtb and loves this as it means he doesn’t have to carry his tools. He said the installation process was easy and the design is well thought out.

Handy disappearing trick
The tool is very compact but still convenient to use, even with larger hands. Solidly made, am just curious ivy rusting. The whole thing is easy to fit. The 'tab' with which you pull the tool out of the tube is rather small and the tool is also firmly attached. This is positive because you won't lose the tool easily but it takes some practice and patience to get the tool out. Especially with cold hands.
