The BBB DiscStop BBS-53T brake pads sport an organic composite on the braking surface and are suitable for Shimano Deore and various Tektro disc brakes. These well-controlled brake pads from BBB are specially made for use on the MTB or trekking bike. Thanks to the organic material, these blocks do not squeak while maintaining good braking power!
Organic
Organic brake pads are made of soft materials. These brake pads therefore provide excellent control and good braking power. Due to the soft compound, this block also grips quickly. In addition, the organic compound ensures that these brake pads make little noise.
The disadvantage of organic brake pads is that they are less resistant to higher temperatures, which can occur during long descents. Organic brake pads wear faster if you ride often in muddy conditions.
In short, if you mainly use the bike in the summer on flat terrain. Then these organic brake pads will do right by you. However, if you mainly use the bike in winter, or if you regularly go to hilly/mountainous areas, it is better to go for Semi-Metallic brake pads.
Note:
Manufacturers use different fits. So pay close attention to whether the shape of the brake pad in the image corresponds to your current brake pad. If you don't know which shape you have, take a look at the 'compatibility' heading below to see if you're brake is listed.

• set of 2 BBB BBS-53T brake pads (incl. brake pad spring)
It is essential that you break in your brake pads after fitting them. This has many benefits. Breaking in the pads makes them last longer, brake better and squeak less.
