Aktiv-8 Point-8 Topline Shift

The Akitv-8 Point 8 Topline shifter cable set is the solution for bad shifting cables by water. The Topline outer cable is linear but extremely flexible (just as flexible as a spiral cable, but almost not compressible), so it can be mounted with ease in short turns and this can be guided without any problems through the inner cable. In addition, the greatest asset of this system are the double liners. The similarity with the GORE-Tex system is the teflon hose (PTFE) that extends uninterrupted from shifter till your derailleur and the harmonica rubber at the height of the derailleur. This ensures a perfect seal of its system. The POINT-8 EVO makes use of ´double shielding´:in places where the GORE-TEX Teflon hose is vulnerable, they have added an extra POm mantel, so the impact of stones, branches and other debris will not damage the Teflonhose. Weak spots such as rolling up the Teflon mantle of the cable and the withdrawal of the Teflon hose into the shifter, belong the the past because this is impossible with the POINT-8 EVO thanks to custom cable stops.

By making use of high-quality stainless steel is a thin, ultra light (40% lighter!) inner cable possible which is almost as strong as a 1.2 mm standard cable. This set owes its name also to its specific diameter of 0.8 mm.
