These AbsoluteBLACK PVD Rainbow Oval Shimano chainrings are a gem for your bike. These AbsoluteBLACK PVD Rainbow Oval Shimano chainrings are made from strong and light 7075 aluminium. Here is a titanium coating applied to an oil slick treatment. This coating makes the chainrings not wear easily and they have an oil slick colour.
Increased pedaling efficiency due to oval shape.
The AbsoluteBLACK PVD Rainbow Oval Shimano chainrings have an oval shape. This shape reduces the pedalling deadlock which occurs with round chainrings when the cranks are in the vertical position. Research at Primorska University in Slovenia has shown that this oval shape can improve pedalling efficiency by almost 10%. In addition, it reduces the force on your knees, making you less likely to suffer knee injuries.

I found the whole motion very smooth and natural, especially when climbing, and particularly on long, draggy climbs. I was really impressed to find that the shifting between the absoluteBlack rings was barely indistinguishable from Shimano's offerings, no matter where in the pedalling rotation I was.
