High quality manufacturing
This blade has been precision ground for lightness and durability, as well as excellent mud removal. In addition, the blade has been given a narrow-wide profile to ensure the chain stays in place when riding.
Harder riding due to oval shape!
AbsoluteBlack's research has shown that the oval shape can increase your performance by up to 9%. The oval shape eliminates the "dead spot" in the pedal stroke. This means more power for speed and a faster ride! It also gives you more control over your bike.
Fits race cranks, but not GRX gravel cranks
This blade fits all Shimano 4-arm cranksets. These include Dura-Ace R9000 & R9100, Ultegra 6800 & R8000 and 105 5800 & R7000 cranksets. This chainring does not fit the GRX gravel cranksets, because their dimensions are unfortunately slightly different.

well made oval ring but a couple of comments
This ring seems to work well and possibly is a difference but not obviously. Fitting was simple but it was only later that an internet search told me the screws that come with the ring are torx not allan and that helped me to tighten them up correctly. The ring isn't a smooth fit with shimano 105 cranks as there is a large step from the existing crank but it is cosmetic and doesn't detract from the function. Overall very happy I converted my bike using this chain ring and would recommend it.
