The refurbished 4iiii GRX Precision 3+ power meter is the equivalent of the 4iiii GRX Precision 3+ model but with a more favourable price due to the slight cosmetic damage on the crank. The Precision 3+ has some new features, including support for the "Apple Find My" app, which allows you, when not using the power meter, to see its precise location via the app. So you know where your bike is at all times!

New features
Thanks to support for "Apple Find My", you can use an Apple smartphone, iPad, Mac or Apple Watch to see the location of the power meter, which then serves as an airtag for your bike. All you need to do is add the power meter to the app. Furthermore, the new Automatic Terrain Selector feature has been developed, which can detect different types of terrain. The power meter then automatically switches between different methods to measure cadence, ensuring accurate power output measurements on any terrain!

Accuracy
The Precision 3+ power meter is very accurate; its measurements have a maximum deviation of only 1%. Power is measured in the left crank arm and is doubled to calculate total power output. For most riders, the difference between their left and right legs is very small, making this power meter an excellent choice for your bike. When you put power onto your pedals or crank, it not only bends the crank, it twists and bends in three dimensions. 4iiii's 3D power measurement system measures this multidimensional load, so you can be confident that your unique pedal stroke will be accurately measured regardless of your riding conditions.

Connectivity
The 4iiii Precision 3+ power meter transmits a Bluetooth and ANT+ signal to be able to pair with most modern bike computers such as Garmin, Wahoo, Polar, Mio, Lezyne and Bryton. Calibration goes via 4iiii Device Configuration. This app is available for Android and IOS and also lets you see the status of the button cell battery.

Battery life
This power meter does not have an internal battery but uses a CR2032 button cell battery. Of course, this will have to be replaced every now and then but, fortunately, it will last for more than 800 hours, which is a lot longer than most internal batteries in power meters. When the remaining battery life gets below 15%, you get a notification in the 4iiii Device Configuration so you still have plenty of time to replace the battery before it dies.

Please note: The 4iiii Precision 3+ power meter is slightly wider than a Shimano left crankarm due to the power meter unit. This may cause problems in some bike frames. To determine if your frame is compatible, you can perform a test: You need to be able to move an 8 mm Allen key vertically between the crankarm and the chainstay. The last product picture on this page (top) should clarify this. Or use the Frame Clearance Check on the 4iiii web site, which includes a handy little document that you can print out and stick on the crank. Then you will know exactly between which points the 8 mm Allen key should be able to move. If there is enough clearance for the 8 mm Allen key, you may assume that the 4iiii power meter is compatible with your frame.
