The Bontrager Aeolus Pro 5 TLR Disc Scratch & Dent wheels are slightly damaged / scratched during the production process but are otherwise completely fine and new. The wheels are the perfect balance between durability, weight and aerodynamics, and they have been praised for their versatility in various tests. The 50mm high OCLV carbon tubeless ready rim has a rim width of 19.5 mm, which is suitable for tubeless TLR tyres. The Aeolus Pro 5 wheels are fitted with DT Swiss Aerolite spokes and Alpina spoke nipples; quality guaranteed.

Scratch & Dent Programme and Trek Carbon Care.
Wheels in the Scratch & Dent Program are slightly damaged due to a manufacturing defect. This damage does not affect the performance or durability of the wheel. These wheels have the same warranty as any Bontrager wheel, and are also covered by Trek's Carbon Care program. This means that if your Bontrager carbon wheels are damaged in a crash within two years of purchase, Trek will repair or replace them. See the attached photos for an example of a Scratch & Dent.

Tubeless Ready
Bontrager (TLR) rims allow for a quick conversion to tubeless systems. You can easily switch between the familiar clincher or a tubeless setup. After fitting Tubeless tape and Tubeless ready tyres you just need to fit the Tubeless ready valves and add the sealant.

Aerodynamics
The D3 Dual Directional Design rim profile reduces air resistance around the tyre and rim. The tyres fully encircle the D-section of the rim, minimising air pockets. This provides more stability in windy conditions. This allows Bontrager to compete with the Zipp's and ENVE's of this world in the wind tunnel and on the road.
