I've been a fan of Continental tires for several years I used the GP4000II model for a long time with great satisfaction, now I use the new GP5000 model with the same interest.

Perfect service

Before this Schwalbe lugano II, now this Continental GP 5000 notice equal low rolling resistance and grip and therefore faster cycling.

I have been using this cover for about three years now, and I am more than satisfied. I used to use the 4000 before and the improvement is obvious. I use them during competitions and therefore abuse them, but so far I am more than satisfied.

Very fast tire with lots of grip. Found these tires easy to fit. I do notice that the rear tire starts to flatten slightly on the running deck after about 2500 km. Also, the lettering discolors quickly on the tire (purely aesthetic, it does not make the tire worse). Would not mount this tire anytime soon in the fall or winter, I would want a slightly more durable tire.

Excellent tire, safe handling, less long life than GP4000

Very smooth running tyres, quite durable and puncture resistant, but sidewalls need to be checked every month for cracks. One I bought last year developed a 1cm crack after about 8 months causing the tube to protrude and puncture even though the tyre hadn’t worn down to the wear indicators. Hopefully these ones are better.

Started riding these tires last year. Very difficult to get around the rim. Also when punctured it takes a lot of force to get the tire off and move forward again. Fortunately the tire does not puncture very often. Not much later I switched to handmade rims. Because of the force on the spokes. The rim builder showed that this too small tire put so much pressure on the spokes that a reduction of 100nm per spoke could be observed. On his advice I took a handmade slick tire. Which not only does not press the spokes together. Also costs the same. And is much quieter, and better grip. My advice don't get continental tires. Very bad for your spokes/wheels.

Bought tires because of the good reviews everywhere as a good all-around tire. I took the 28mm tires for the "comfort" and that is really a difference compared to my previous tires, it cushions much more without the idea of riding on soft tires. The problem of not being able to get them around the rims without a tire lever fortunately did not bother me.

I can recommend this tire to everyone. I always rode with the regular grand prix tire. Then when you ride the 5000 you notice the rolling resistance is much less and much more comfortable. Tire is a bit less durable though, although I rode it for 7000 km when the canvas came through the rear tire. So that's not too bad either.

Meanwhile my 5th GP5000 already, my experiences are that you can't possibly put the tire on if you have a flat, and without tire levers. Roll resistance is unparalleled, I use it for a whole season and that's 12,000km, even longer in the front. Sidewall casing is frigid, I even had to replace one after 300km, check stones before every ride and remove them. On my other bike I ride with Pirelli, about the same tire in terms of rolling resistance, which can be mounted in a jiffy in case of a flat, just by hand, actually I prefer this Pirelli even more.

With the Grand prix 4000s I have been very happy with the grip and durability factor. Now I will try the 5000s hoping they will live up to the predecessors. In any case Continental is superior in quality. I recommend them! Forgot to mention. Mantel great seller, free delivery above 75 euros when others are on 100. And delivery in 2 days. Spectacular!!! I will keep it in my favorites.

The GP 5000 can be used for both training and racing. It's a good compromise between flexibility/speed and robustness. The only downside is that it wears out faster than its predecessor, the GP 4000.

the best clinchers on the market, with a very low weight of only 225 gr they manage to provide excellent reliability against punctures. they have good grip on the road and are very smooth. Continental is a guarantee for the wheels on my bike!
