A sure bet!
This is my first order from mantel, but I'm a fan of the GP 5000, which gives me complete satisfaction! 1
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Fast tire, great grip and long life!
Very satisfied with these tires! They came standard on my new bike (25 mm clincers). Have now ridden 5000 km on my first set of 5000's, without a flat! Actually rear was up after ~ 4500 km, tire is somewhat flat and I don't see the pits of the wear indicators anymore, but front can still last a while. Have found when fitting new (latex) inner tubes that they go on my rims very easily, but maybe that is rim specific as I also read that they are difficult to get on rims.
Pros & Cons

TOP tires
Tires are what you expect from Continental; tight and firm. I have previously driven about 2000km on the 4000GT and they were also top!
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Lovely tight steering tire
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Fine band.
Fine tire ( after about 400km) durability I-figure can't say anything about it. Rolling resistance seems great than mn previous tire (grand prix 4000S II)
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Very good tire in all conditions
Pros & Cons
1 / 5
Too tight, leaks quickly and takes away all your fun.
Do you always want to stand on the shoulder of the road, make a weekly splash with your Co2 pump and never get your tires properly on your rim? Then this is the tire for you! Since these folding tires, I have been puncturing both front and rear at least weekly. 16 times in three months to be exact. After I replaced them with p-zero's all the trouble was gone: never again a flat. These tires are so thin, if you look at them they are already flat. And warranty? Hell no. Lost a fortune on tubes and cartridges, not to mention the purchase price of these tires.
Pros & Cons

For me the most comfortable band I have laced with already
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Nice tire which rolls nicely and has good grip even if you take the corners in a sporty way.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Great tire!
Lightweight, roll well and have good puncture resistance!
5 / 5
Perfect band. Super!
Just perfect tires, used to have the 4000. But this 5000 even better.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
The best band ever!
What a band! Incredibly good! The best band I have ever experienced! Tight through corners, with great grip and confidence. Fast on pace, due to a noticeably low rolling resistance; remarkably better than any other brand I have experienced before. I have to brake harder than before, due to the noticeably low rolling resistance. Never had a flat yet. The GP5000 comes highly recommended! This is the best tire for your road bike! With spot on number 1!
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Excellent tire
Comfortable 25mm-section tire. I'll have to wait and see about longevity.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Good rubber
Lots of Grip and yet little rolling resistance. Perhaps it will wear out faster but I don't mind. I want fast rubber.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Sturdy inner tube with sufficient grip in the rain
My canyon originally had the continental GP 5000 tires, but after the first ride I immediately had a tear in the outer tire. This was pure bad luck, as I replaced it with the same tire that I am now happy with. Firm and grip on rainy days.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Brilliant
The GP5000’s are just an outstanding tyre. No matter what the conditions they never lose grip and give great confidence around every corner. I’ve had a few sets of these and I run them on my good bike and my winter bike. Honestly don’t look any further. Just brilliant
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
perfect under all conditions
Just spent 3 days digging with it in bad weather , but no leak and super control!
Pros & Cons

Super fast delivery, good product.
Delivered very quickly on Saturday. Put the tires on right away. They are good: comfortable and can take a beating. Holes in the road and loose rocks are no problem.
Pros & Cons

super good relationship
ridden the 4000 to date, good tire.

Grweat tyre!
Fast, but not most durable...
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Light, adequate grip and fairly easy to put on the wheel
The tire is very light, gives enough grip and is fairly easy to put on the wheel. Have only driven a few hundred km with it, so can't say anything about wear yet.
Pros & Cons

Continental 5000
Top tracks good handling even in wet weather partner for maximum grip
Pros & Cons

Top product
good tire with low rolling resistance and good grip
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Good but could be even better.
Good tire but still not strong enough for quality Belgian bike trails.
5 / 5
Fine band.
Putting them on was easy without tools. Rides fine, shows a little less wide than my previous Michelin tires of also 25 mm.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
As expected
I have been using GP tires for a long time and have never been dissatisfied.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Excellent band
Very fast tire due to its low rolling resistance of +-11 watts at 8 bar. This gives it the lowest rolling resistance of any tube tire. The tires have great grip and ride very comfortably. Have the idea that at the same pressure the tires are much more comfortable than the GP4000II. No punctures so far, but have only ridden 200km. No damage to the tire.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Rolling resistance excellent
After years of riding Swalbe One (because my experience that they were better puncture resistant than the Grandprix II. Now the GP5000 and rolling resistance is outstanding, tangibly better than the Swalbe One. First 700km no punctures yet which was always the case with the Grandprix II. But it is summer and I am not overweight. They do not last as long is the estimation. But your legs will last longer....
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Truly a great tire
Fitted about a month ago and already from the first kilometers I had very good impressions. Smooth and comfortable, as for durability and strength I will have to wait some time. Overall it looks great.
Pros & Cons
2 / 5
Way too stiff to mount
Mounting it on my carbon rims is almost no do, even the bike shop couldn't get it done. How am I ever supposed to get it off my rims again? No idea. Meanwhile it cycles fine, but so stiff is really not ok.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Look tight
Fitted the gp5000 today, normally always Schwalbe. Installation was easy, tire is fine to put on by hand contrary to what others say, think it is more down to the person than the tire. Durability and comfort nothing to say yet. Assessment is purely on mounting ease and how they look.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Very reliable tire
I ride this in summer and winter. Tire is very puncture resistant and has great grip.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Good tire under all conditions

Top product!
Feels a lot better than the michelin tire I had on it before. Little rolling resistance.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Super tire
Easy to assemble. Impeccable performance.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Prima Band durability ?
These tires I cycle with often. Now in two years three 3x tire changes. I question their durability.
5 / 5
Super quality belt
Price-quality best tire on the market

Lots of quality comfort safety
I was using a product that was highly advertised but had very poor results in terms of durability and safety. I tried Continental 5000 grand prix and I am thrilled. I have already covered a lot of miles, I am on my third change, and I confirm my excellent rating. You cannot compare them with other brands. I have recommended them to friends who always thank me.
5 / 5
Excellent band!
This tire is particularly puncture-resistant and will last at least 3,000 kilometers. Even in wet conditions it is slip-resistant, and that makes you feel safe!
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Performing
Excellent product, reference for the category. Outstanding quality/price
5 / 5
The Continental 5000 grand prix a wonderfully frace bicycle tire
Initially I rode the continental 4000lls. These were due for replacement after 4 seasons !!!!!! By now I have driven 700 km with the new 5000 grand prix. Outstanding, no other word fits this one.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
The best on the market
The GP5000's grip is exceptional. I was already used to riding on snow in winter with the GP4000SII. The 5000s stick to the road even more. It's really impressive. I can't say how long they'll last or how solid they'll be. Haven't had the time yet.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
very good tire but difficult to put on
Pros & Cons

Top tire
Top quality coupled with a 25mm gp5000 at the rear

I think we can all agree, this is a very good band.
Pros & Cons

These are great tires and a great successor to the 4000!
Good quality tire! Well thought out on the design table!
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
5500 km without punctures and both are still in the good condition.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Brilliant tyre
Bought these as an upgrade to replace the standard tyres I got with my bike. Made a huge difference to my times and felt more planted when taking corners. Will continue to use these tyres.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
As good and better than the 4000s
4 / 5
28mm size not 28mm!
I loved the previous version the continental 4000s11, the speed and especially the comfort on knobbly Irish backroads. As this was fazed out I opted for the Grand Prix 5000.The new tyre is substantially smaller than the old 28mm which measured an oversize 30mm plus, the new one measures a scant 26 mm this may not sound like a lot but there is a huge visible difference in clearance on my Giant TCr Advanced 1 So what? The loss of volume means this tyre is a lot less comfortable than the old version. I am considering buying the 32 in the hope this is also undersized by a couple of mill and will fit into my frame.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Great tyre
Grippier than the GP4000 II in the dry, not in the wet though, I feel less rolling resistance.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Amazing tyres
I finally wore through the stock tyres on my bike and needed replacements, I did have Continental GrandSport tyres but wanted to upgrade to the GP5000 tyres after hearing good reviews. Mantel had them at the best price and I’m really glad I bought them. The biggest thing for me is that they provide a superior ride quality to my old tyres, this was noticeable from the first few pedal strokes, they just smooth out the road and make riding a joy. Great grip and traction upon breaking too, I have a lot more confidence in my bike now.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Fast rolling tyres, good price
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
great tyre
Upgraded from grand prix 4000 II, still the same great tyre, incredible grip and braking performance, also it seems that the rolling resistance has been improved, no puncture so far 1000 miles.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Great tyre, improved puncture protection with reduced rolling resistance. Great price and service
4 / 5
Great tire
Great value for money
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Brilliant!
I loved the previous Continental Grand Prix 4000 S tyres but it’s brilliant that these Grand Prix 5000 tyres are an update to them. I bought them at an excellent price from Mantel, so I am very happy!
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Lightweight, great grip and puncture resistance
Pretty much always use Conti tyres . Have had many GP400sII and always found them great . A heavy tyre ruins a good wheelset and the GP is light and responsive . I use them all year round too and rarely get a puncture. Best tyre bar none
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Top Class
4 / 5
Super smooth & comfortable but cornering isn’t the best!
Amazing ride quality and a step up in comfort vs my beloved Schwalbe Ones. However this silky smoothness and unreal comfort comes at a cost. When cornering hard on quick descents the sidewalls flex a bit too much for my liking. Otherwise an excellent tyre.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Top of it’s class
Originally I was looking to purchase the GP 4000, mainly because it was a little cheaper but I decided to try the 5000. Brilliant tyre and so. easy to fit on my Kysrium sl wheels. Speedy delivery from Mantel so what’s not to like.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Very lively tyre which really lets you feel the road.
I road these for the first time at the Worlds Sportive in Yorkshire and punctured first time out! I bought hoping their lightweight would also have a higher degree of puncture resistance but to be fair it was an atrocious day raining for most of it. I rode all last week in Kefalnia and they were superb! It’s very mountainous so the lightweight combined with responsiveness and grip made for some exciting riding. I would recommend and will now try with latex tubes.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Grippy and unbelievably comfortable in 32mm
Bought these for my winter bike and thought I’d try out the 32mm version. So glad I did. So comfortable and skims over bumps and uneven surfaces. Makes ride much more comfortable.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
a quality tyre very reliable
I have run the 4000 gp for many years and found them to be excellent . This upgrade is as usual a quality tyre but with new tech to bring it bang up to date. In short the best value for money tyre out there
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Great all round
Had the GP4’s previously and found them great, this is even an upgrade from them! Awesome on the corners especially during descents.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Great tyre
Had a puncture in 1st 100 miles, but just above the rim, so can't see any tyre would have coped. Feels more planted in corners, rolls well, I can see why people prefer this to the GP4000 SII
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Expensive but worth the extra cost
First 500 miles covered and all good. Having changed from GP4000s which I was very pleased with, these had a tough act to follow; but they seem to roll faster, grip better and so far no punctures.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Fast comfortable and reassuring
Great tyre from the first ride could feel a marked difference in comfort and rolling speed. Was Previously on 23m 4000s but the 25m 5000s will be my new go to tyres. They feel fast comfortable and sure. Now been on them for 6 weeks and still happy to use them way into the winter month as well all in all a great tyre.!
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
If its as good as the GP4000's, then it'll be a great tyre.
Too early to give it a detailed review, having only covered 200 miles, but so far so good.
5 / 5
Excellent tyre, good successor to GP4000
So far so good, one long ride and no issues so far, seem at least as good as the GP4000s but not yet used them in race conditions. Very happy so far.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
As good as everyone tells me.
Quality tyres. Bought due to strong recommendations from others. I’ve had two poor Conti 4S tyres - lasted less than four months each - so I was reluctant. They seem so flimsy and light when compared to other tyres, yet they are fast and roll really well. Very impressed so far!
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Top all round performance tyre
The ride and handling on the GP5000 genuinely surpasses the previous GP4000! Despite my initial scepticism I have to admit this tyre has progressed.
5 / 5
Great product excellent service
Roll like a dream
5 / 5
Fantastic tyres, great grip and fast!!!!
Got so much confidence when racing with these, stick to the road in all conditions and feel fast!!!
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Excellent Tyre THIS is the one to have
I got these tyre and waw they are defiantly quicker, better rolling resistance and the grip is out of this world. Just remember they will be tight (TOP TIP) get some Park Tool TL-4.2 Tyre Lever Carded Tool and they just slip on a treat. I bought them for my new campagnolo scirocco and they have transformed my giant bike to an other level. The price of mantel is the best on the internet £69 for 2 tyres and postage.in the uk they are £40-£60 each plus postage. well done mantel i will be buying a lot more off you.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
great tyre and great service from Mantel
For me, these tyres are a revelation, so much so I think this is my first ever online review! The rolling resistance is very low compared with anything I've ever had. Too early to say about puncture resistance but for such 'slick' looking tyres after a month of commuting and some longer rides there is no real damage
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Excellent
Great tyre fast, good grip and brilliant puncture resistance
5 / 5
Fantastic tyre. Noticeably less rolling resistance than GP4000
Pros & Cons

Fantastic Tyres
Bought my two GP 5000’s from Mantel, great service, quick delivery. Tyres easily fitted and a great update on the 4000’s.
Pros & Cons

Made me feel like I was in Tour de France
Rapid tyres, done about 1000k on them now with no regrets...or punctures. Great service from Mantel and smashing improved tyre over the GP4000!
Pros & Cons

Amazing tires
Guys, one of the best tires ever. Many thanks again.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Good price good wear
Good tyre great price
5 / 5
Really good tyres yhat look good too
Always used the gp4000s2 before and had very little issues with them. Decided to buy some new tyres, the gp5000 has just come out and the price at Mantel was not to different from the 4000 tyre. They look nice on the bike grip well and are easy to fit.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Great tyre, massive improvement
I got these tyres to replace vittoria zaffiro pro's and they are a marked improvement. I cant describe the rolling resistance or anything scientific, I just know from Strava that I have increased my speed with the same effort. I would highly recommend these (I have the tube version, not tubeless).
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Tou can really tell difference
5 / 5
Quality black rubber
Not much to say really, another quality tyre from Continental.
5 / 5
Great tyres
Not had the chance to do a lot of riding on them but so far they live up to the hype!
2 / 5
Poor quality won’t buy again
I have had the GP 4000’s for years and have sworn by them. The 5000’s have a very very thin sidewall and ruptured on my first ride. The ride itself was good and the grip too was good but the paper thin walls mean they are useless. I have read that this is a common problem.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Fantastic grippy tyres
Pros & Cons

Very good tyre. No issues

Great tyre.
Easy to fit to the rim as its quite flexable. Great grip and a nice looking tyre.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Great tyres confidence inspiring
From the first turn of the wheel these feel like a real quality item and 650 miles on they are performing even better than I expected -they really do inside confidence in handling and riding through crap on the roads a great purchase !
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
smooth ride, good rolling resistance
Bought these in folding non tubeless version for a set of Mavic Cosmic carbon 40's, easy to fit, very good grip, great rolling resistance and puncture resistant so far.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
very smooth ride, with good grip
Very difficult to compare the difference between GP 4000 and 5000, but the GP 5000's do give a very smooth ride and fast corners feel safe with a good grip.
5 / 5
Great tyres. Low rolling resistance and seem durable.
Great tyres. Low rolling resistance and seem durable.
Pros & Cons

Great tyres
Knocked 2mins off my usually 20km loop couldn't believe how good and big a different race tyres make as I never had them before Savage upgrade.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Great tyre - but hard to fit
Overall, the Continental GP5000’s are well made and live up to all the claims Continental has made. My only criticism is the fact the tyre Brad is extremely tight to the rim. I had to take it to a local bike shop to get it sorted.
