Ubique G45C Gravel Bike Wheels

The Ubique G45C are performance wheels for gravel bikes. Weighing 1520 grams, they are light enough for fast climbing, and with a 45 mm rim depth, they offer aerodynamic advantages! Thus, they are suitable for recreational as well as ambitious riders who may want to participate in races.

Rims
With a rim depth of 45 mm and a rim width of 32 mm, the wheels are perfect for all-round use, and tyres sit very nicely and aerodynamically on them. The weight of 1520 grams makes them ideal for efficient climbing. True all-rounders, then! The hooked rims ensure maximum compatibility with all gravel tyres and a secure fit at all times.

Hubs
The reliable hubs feature industrial bearings, which, combined with the tool-less disassembly system, ensures easy servicing and maintenance. Lightweight Sapim D-Light straight-pull spokes are used, meaning the spokes do not have to bend, which always creates a weak point. Thus, with straight-pull spokes there is a reduced risk of spoke breakage. The nipples are also positioned at an ideal angle within the rim to further reduce stress on the spokes. Plus, the hubs are extremely well sealed to minimise maintenance needs.

Tyres
The wheels come with tubeless rim tape, so you can fit your favourite tubeless tyres straight away. Thanks to the 25 mm internal and 32 mm external rim widths, wider gravel tyres fit perfectly. So, you can enjoy the benefits of wide tyres and ride comfortably over rougher gravel, and the benefits of deep rims and ride with optimal aerodynamics on flat and smooth roads. According to ETRTO guidelines, the minimum tyre width for rims with a 25 mm inner width is 29 mm. You can, therefore, use tyres between 29 and 55 mm on these rims. A tyre width of 45 to 50 mm is perfect for these rims.

Ubique
In 2017, we at Mantel began developing our own carbon wheels in collaboration with a well-known wheel manufacturer. This was such a great success that it was continued under the name Ubique. As the Latin word "ubique" means "everywhere", the brand name emphasises that Ubique wheels can be used anywhere in the world.

Three generations of wheels have provided the information needed to continuously refine the product. Using product analysis, customer feedback, the monitoring of market developments and, of course, our own cycling experience, we have worked to ensure that the current Ubique G45C wheelset is suitable for multiple disciplines, such as road racing and gravel.

Tubeless-ready
These Ubique G45C Disc wheels are compatible with both tubeless tyres and folding or clincher tyres. The narrow fit between the tyres and rims ensures that the wheels can easily be set up as tubeless. To do this, install tubeless tyres and tubeless valves, then add latex sealant. In most cases, this will allow you to carry on riding if you get a puncture rather than making you stop at the side of the road to change an inner tube. The latex sealant fills the hole within a few seconds.
