Shimano SLX M7100 12 Speed Rear Derailleur

With the Shimano SLX M7100 12-speed rear derailleur, Shimano has made XTR technology available to a wide audience. This derailleur offers the same functionality as its more expensive brothers, but at a much more favourable price level. The only disadvantage is that heavier materials have been used. The advantage of these materials, however, is that they make the derailleur more durable.
This derailleur is equipped with a clutch, which allows the derailleur to keep the chain tension better in rough terrain. This derailleur also works beautifully with the 12-speed SLX shifter. Thanks to Rapidfire Plus technology, this derailleur will shift quickly and precisely, even when the conditions are rough and demanding. Shimano recommends this derailleur for good reason for cross-country, trail and enduro use.

Make sure you clean your derailleur pulleys too!
Like the chain, derailleur pulleys get very dirty. This makes for a less enjoyable ride and doesn't help with the durability of your drivetrain. Therefore, when cleaning the chain and / or oiling the chain, it is advisable to also clean the derailleur pulleys.
