The poor puncture resistance makes the tyre unsuitable for a chamber configuration.
I chose these tyres (45mm version) to ride on asphalt and gravel trails, including forest trails that are easily tackled with a gravel bike or MTB. The product looks pretty good: aesthetically pleasing, easy to install, lightweight, low rolling resistance on both asphalt and gravel, excellent grip on dirt and gravel roads. By adjusting the pressure correctly, riding comfort is optimal even on rough terrain. They are not suitable for muddy terrain and should be used on predominantly dry ground. Unfortunately, contrary to the manufacturer's claims, these tyres have poor puncture resistance, so much so that they are practically unusable with an inner tube (even a latex tyre). In my case, I had no fewer than three punctures in the space of 150 kilometres, most of them on asphalt and gravel roads and a few kilometres on rougher gravel. The punctures were all caused by very small pins (width < 1mm); latex tyre tubes partially solve the problem but do not provide safety with this type of tyre. I should add that one of the tyres had a transverse cut of about 5mm on the tread, which fortunately did not reach the chamber. Given the low mileage, I consider the tread to be too delicate for the intended use. I gave 2 stars because I did not try the tubeless configuration, as my rims are not compatible. I cannot therefore rule out the possibility that they might be optimal in a tubeless configuration, otherwise the rating would have been 1 star.
