high wear and faster leak than the 4000 series

Best Tyre
They roll great, very comfortable and give me a lot of confidence descending and cornering

Just top, very high quality tire
Tires purchased for the second time. They are perfect and extremely durable. Very few punctures over 5000 km. The tires are still not to be thrown away after 5000km, German quality.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Confidence at every turn!
Have been a loyal user of the Conti's for some time now. Bought a new bike this summer and it came with the Vitoria pro tires, fine but I missed the sharpness and the familiar feeling in the corners, it seems like these tires stick to the road, and yet a lower rolling resistance. Do have the idea that with the 4000's I had fewer punctures, but that could be coincidence.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Fast tire but rear tire is quickly worn flat
Fast tire but after 320km already flat rear tire. Here the 4000s2 was better
Pros & Cons

Good competition-worthy tire
Fine tire, low rolling resistance with good grip.

High-quality road tires
First outing on 80 kms good grip
Pros & Cons

sticks nicely to the road
4 / 5
performance resistance
Very good performance, good resistance to punctures, a little less than the GP4000, I think, and the same goes for longevity.
Pros & Cons

I know the product, is well known.
I know these tires, among cyclists/enthusiasts these Continentals are popular, the extra thick tread minimizes the chance of punctures.

Great tire, also great to mount.
For a few weeks now I have been riding the Continental Grand Prix 5000, 700 x 32C. The tire runs significantly lighter and the riding comfort is also significantly improved. All in all, a very good tire that I can recommend to everyone.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Good outer tire with great grip in many conditions.
Good tire. Lots of grip in many conditions. Durability I don't know yet, only driven 220 km. Not cheap, but good quality for now.
Pros & Cons

Very good band
Good successor to the also very good 4000

super tires
the best tires I have used so far
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
I have been using these tires for some time and they last many miles without punctures. Perfect tires.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Good traction, puncture protection and easy to roll
Pros & Cons

Rubber flies off at emergency stop
Have always driven Conti for its wear and puncture resistance, this has unfortunately been lost to achieve low weight. During an emergency stop, where normally only a flat spot appears on the tread, a large piece of rubber broke out. In 8500km I used up 2 rear tires. No more Continental Grand Prix 5000 for me.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
good roll
Got a puncture after a few miles when a staple went through the tire. The biggest difference from my old dried out GP 4000 tires is that these are much softer to drive on and I think these roll a little better too.
4 / 5
Solid set of all-arounders
Low rolling resistance, perhaps wears a bit faster than the GP4000 II
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Roll resistance and puncture resistance top notch!

Great oul tyres
Great grip in wet or dry, super fast and great cornering
Pros & Cons

A fine tire, with plenty of grip.
Good tire with great grip, in dry and wet weather. After driving 500 km, no damage visible. I am very satisfied.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Fine tire. Rides well
Great tire, easy to fit and drives fine. Good grip in wet conditions.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Top tires!
It was a very good choice to buy these tires. Good grip, low rolling resistance and very comfortable. No punctures to date. However, the tire is more difficult to mount because it is tight around the rim. But in short, highly recommended!
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
basically a good band
After a whole spring and summer of problem-free riding with the GP5000, I suddenly had to replace the rear tire and inner tube twice in a short time due to a (too) big cut in the tread. It seems that the vectran layer is not strong enough.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
A top-notch tire with almost no rolling resistance!
Good tire with little rolling resistance, easy fitting and delivered quickly
1 / 5
Quick leak
Tire is significantly faster to puncture than predecessor 4000.

Durable puncture-resistant and smooth-riding tire
Durable puncture resistant and smooth riding tire. A bit pricey though

Reliable quality and speed
After a trip to another brand because of the looks, returned to these conti's. Feels familiar and they are also a lot faster. Fine handling also stands out. No more trips for me.
Pros & Cons

Comfortable tire with low rolling resistance
My worn out 23mm tire was in need of replacement. Was hesitating between this one and the schwalbe durano. Went for a little less rolling resistance (no idea if I'll notice it uber). Despite the scary reviews warning that the tire is hard to fit, I ordered and got it fitted. With 2 men and sore thumbs though, but without tire levers. The tire rides a lot more comfortably than my old 23mm, it also feels like it has more grip. And of course I feel much faster ;) (but I guess that's the placebo effect with new gear).
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Affordable Top tire, with low rolling resistance
4 / 5
A strong tire that will last a few thousand km without a single puncture.
4 / 5
Just right
A follow-up purchase because I am satisfied
Pros & Cons

Top tires
Second time I have fitted these tires. Felt fine. Did have a thread in the anti-puncture layer in the beginning. This caused many punctures. After removing this thread, rode 5000 km without a puncture. Now changed because they had become square.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Quality is what I expected from it
Clearly an improved version of its predecessor, great confidence in cornering, even in wet. Would not last as long as its predecessor but cannot judge this yet. Clearly less rolling resistance than the 4000 version.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Good durable tire with plenty of grip
Pros & Cons

Mantels choice is really a top product
Excellent tire with low rolling resistance while providing comfortable cushioning.

Mantels choice is really a top product
Excellent tire with low rolling resistance while providing comfortable cushioning.

Top band, the best yet made
After the 4000s did not expect to find a better tire so soon. Tire is a topper for any cyclist. I can't imagine Continental will surpass this one anytime soon.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Premium tires
Expensive, but everything is to enjoy their good rolling, durability and resistance to punctures.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Unbelievable, seemed like a different sport compared to old tires!
For a long time I hated buying new tires, also because I am not a handy guy to put them on. I finally decided to go for it and it was not that bad. Despite the fact that it is sometimes recommended not to use a tire lever, I did so for the last bit. Only did 1 ride, but just unimaginable the difference with my previous tires. I came from an old mediocre Bontrager tire, but the grip, confidence and speed through the corners on these Continentals and also straights; I've never ridden so well (and fast). Should have made the switch much earlier, but better late than never!
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Excellent tire
I recommend them. These are excellent tires: hard-wearing, performance, price when discounted. It's a bit of a hassle to mount them, but they're worth it.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Just a fine band
Recently I had to replace my rear tire because I had a so-called flat spot. This after having driven more than 4000 km on it. The indicators showed that the tire could still last a while. In short, a fine tire and excellent quality.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Super band en super kwaliteit
Rijd 3 weken op de banden en ze rijden uitstekend! Geen problemen gevonden. Voelen sterk en snel aan en kwaliteit is super!
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Band seems to deliver what is promised.
I can't say anything about durability yet, I haven't had it long enough. Some comments indicated that the last piece is difficult to get on the rim. This seems to be solved, was not a problem.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
good relationship
Tire is not bad but compared to 4000s no improvement in dry weather. in rain no judgment yet
2 / 5
Looking for another band
This tire is worse than its predecessor the GP4000, the rubber is softer. Pebbles etc. will stick to the tire more quickly, and then penetrate inside. Continental, please put the 4000 back on the market.
Pros & Cons
1 / 5
Tire is worn on arrival
Tire worn out on arrival. After 30(!!!!)km already a hole in the outer tire and puncture. Should be a new tire...? !
Pros & Cons

Many happy miles
As a recreational road cyclist, I am very satisfied with this tire and have put on some safe miles. When I need a tire again, I will buy Continental again. Fitting the tire is difficult, but not impossible. :-)

A sure bet!
This is my first order from mantel, but I'm a fan of the GP 5000, which gives me complete satisfaction! 1
Pros & Cons

Fast tire, great grip and long life!
Very satisfied with these tires! They came standard on my new bike (25 mm clincers). Have now ridden 5000 km on my first set of 5000's, without a flat! Actually rear was up after ~ 4500 km, tire is somewhat flat and I don't see the pits of the wear indicators anymore, but front can still last a while. Have found when fitting new (latex) inner tubes that they go on my rims very easily, but maybe that is rim specific as I also read that they are difficult to get on rims.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
TOP tires
Tires are what you expect from Continental; tight and firm. I have previously driven about 2000km on the 4000GT and they were also top!
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Lovely tight steering tire
Pros & Cons

Fine band.
Fine tire ( after about 400km) durability I-figure can't say anything about it. Rolling resistance seems great than mn previous tire (grand prix 4000S II)
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Very good tire in all conditions
Pros & Cons
1 / 5
Too tight, leaks quickly and takes away all your fun.
Do you always want to stand on the shoulder of the road, make a weekly splash with your Co2 pump and never get your tires properly on your rim? Then this is the tire for you! Since these folding tires, I have been puncturing both front and rear at least weekly. 16 times in three months to be exact. After I replaced them with p-zero's all the trouble was gone: never again a flat. These tires are so thin, if you look at them they are already flat. And warranty? Hell no. Lost a fortune on tubes and cartridges, not to mention the purchase price of these tires.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
For me the most comfortable band I have laced with already
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Nice tire which rolls nicely and has good grip even if you take the corners in a sporty way.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Great tire!
Lightweight, roll well and have good puncture resistance!
5 / 5
Perfect band. Super!
Just perfect tires, used to have the 4000. But this 5000 even better.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
The best band ever!
What a band! Incredibly good! The best band I have ever experienced! Tight through corners, with great grip and confidence. Fast on pace, due to a noticeably low rolling resistance; remarkably better than any other brand I have experienced before. I have to brake harder than before, due to the noticeably low rolling resistance. Never had a flat yet. The GP5000 comes highly recommended! This is the best tire for your road bike! With spot on number 1!
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Excellent tire
Comfortable 25mm-section tire. I'll have to wait and see about longevity.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Good rubber
Lots of Grip and yet little rolling resistance. Perhaps it will wear out faster but I don't mind. I want fast rubber.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Sturdy inner tube with sufficient grip in the rain
My canyon originally had the continental GP 5000 tires, but after the first ride I immediately had a tear in the outer tire. This was pure bad luck, as I replaced it with the same tire that I am now happy with. Firm and grip on rainy days.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Brilliant
The GP5000’s are just an outstanding tyre. No matter what the conditions they never lose grip and give great confidence around every corner. I’ve had a few sets of these and I run them on my good bike and my winter bike. Honestly don’t look any further. Just brilliant
Pros & Cons

perfect under all conditions
Just spent 3 days digging with it in bad weather , but no leak and super control!
Pros & Cons

Super fast delivery, good product.
Delivered very quickly on Saturday. Put the tires on right away. They are good: comfortable and can take a beating. Holes in the road and loose rocks are no problem.
Pros & Cons

super good relationship
ridden the 4000 to date, good tire.

Grweat tyre!
Fast, but not most durable...
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Light, adequate grip and fairly easy to put on the wheel
The tire is very light, gives enough grip and is fairly easy to put on the wheel. Have only driven a few hundred km with it, so can't say anything about wear yet.
Pros & Cons

Continental 5000
Top tracks good handling even in wet weather partner for maximum grip

Top product
good tire with low rolling resistance and good grip
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Good but could be even better.
Good tire but still not strong enough for quality Belgian bike trails.
5 / 5
Fine band.
Putting them on was easy without tools. Rides fine, shows a little less wide than my previous Michelin tires of also 25 mm.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
As expected
I have been using GP tires for a long time and have never been dissatisfied.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Excellent band
Very fast tire due to its low rolling resistance of +-11 watts at 8 bar. This gives it the lowest rolling resistance of any tube tire. The tires have great grip and ride very comfortably. Have the idea that at the same pressure the tires are much more comfortable than the GP4000II. No punctures so far, but have only ridden 200km. No damage to the tire.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Rolling resistance excellent
After years of riding Swalbe One (because my experience that they were better puncture resistant than the Grandprix II. Now the GP5000 and rolling resistance is outstanding, tangibly better than the Swalbe One. First 700km no punctures yet which was always the case with the Grandprix II. But it is summer and I am not overweight. They do not last as long is the estimation. But your legs will last longer....
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Truly a great tire
Fitted about a month ago and already from the first kilometers I had very good impressions. Smooth and comfortable, as for durability and strength I will have to wait some time. Overall it looks great.
Pros & Cons
2 / 5
Way too stiff to mount
Mounting it on my carbon rims is almost no do, even the bike shop couldn't get it done. How am I ever supposed to get it off my rims again? No idea. Meanwhile it cycles fine, but so stiff is really not ok.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Look tight
Fitted the gp5000 today, normally always Schwalbe. Installation was easy, tire is fine to put on by hand contrary to what others say, think it is more down to the person than the tire. Durability and comfort nothing to say yet. Assessment is purely on mounting ease and how they look.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Very reliable tire
I ride this in summer and winter. Tire is very puncture resistant and has great grip.
Pros & Cons

Good tire under all conditions

These tires I cycle with often. Now in two years three 3x tire changes. I question their durability.

Super quality belt
Price-quality best tire on the market

Lots of quality comfort safety
I was using a product that was highly advertised but had very poor results in terms of durability and safety. I tried Continental 5000 grand prix and I am thrilled. I have already covered a lot of miles, I am on my third change, and I confirm my excellent rating. You cannot compare them with other brands. I have recommended them to friends who always thank me.
5 / 5
Excellent band!
This tire is particularly puncture-resistant and will last at least 3,000 kilometers. Even in wet conditions it is slip-resistant, and that makes you feel safe!
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Performing
Excellent product, reference for the category. Outstanding quality/price
5 / 5
The Continental 5000 grand prix a wonderfully frace bicycle tire
Initially I rode the continental 4000lls. These were due for replacement after 4 seasons !!!!!! By now I have driven 700 km with the new 5000 grand prix. Outstanding, no other word fits this one.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
The best on the market
The GP5000's grip is exceptional. I was already used to riding on snow in winter with the GP4000SII. The 5000s stick to the road even more. It's really impressive. I can't say how long they'll last or how solid they'll be. Haven't had the time yet.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
very good tire but difficult to put on

Brilliant tyre
Bought these as an upgrade to replace the standard tyres I got with my bike. Made a huge difference to my times and felt more planted when taking corners. Will continue to use these tyres.
