The Cinturato Gravel M tyre is designed for Mixed terrain, ranging from asphalt to loose sand. The tyre has medium-high, medium-spaced studs that deliver excellent performance on various types of terrain. The tyre's compact centre strip allows for exceptionally low rolling resistance within its category. The ProWALL casing uses an extra layer of nylon, which enhances puncture resistance but makes the tyre a bit heavier than the version with a TechWALL casing. It also improves the tyre's stability at lower tyre pressures.
SmartEVO compound
To get the most out of tubeless technology, Pirelli has taken its original SmartNET compound and developed it into the SmartEVO compound. This is an evolution of the rubber compounds Pirelli uses in its motor vehicle race tyres. SmartEVO uses three different polymers, each with a specific property; together, they create a balanced rubber compound that performs optimally at both ends of the spectrum. All this results in improved grip in both dry and wet conditions, more comfort and low rolling resistance.
