The FFWD F4R DT240 road bike wheels have a gorgeous rim design. The existing DARC profile has been improved. This version has the well-known DT Swiss 240S hubs. These hubs are known for their optimal mix between weight, durability, sealing and high-end bearing quality. The FFWD F4R DT240 wheels’ spokes are manually attached in the Netherlands. The straight pull spokes are less likely to break and ensure proper stiffness. The new rim design consists of UD carbon and black decals that suit any road bike. The tubeless ready rims enable tubeless riding, only requiring you to purchase TLR tyres and latex. When you get a puncture, the hole will be immediately filled by the latex, allowing you to keep cycling.

DARC rim profile
DARC technology stands for the special shape in the rim. This rim shape is unlike any other in aerodynamics. Thanks to this shape, the airflow sticks to the first part of the rim, after which it is pushed out so that it flows past and not through the spokes. This ensures less swirling and resistance in the wheel, making it easier to maintain your speed.

FFWD Confidence Brake Technology
The FFWD Confidence Brake Technology (CBT) for carbon rims delivers improved modulation and reliability with a 30% increase in braking power over previous generation FFWD wheels. This technology provides the rider with consistent and responsive braking control in all conditions.

Hand-spoked
All FFWD wheels are hand-spoked with high precision. This happens in Zwolle in the Netherlands where the wheels are completely assembled. During this construction process, the wheels are tensioned so that the spokes are already stretched and no longer need to be tensioned after 500 km.

Crash Replacement Policy
In case of breakdown, FFWD supports you by offering replacement rims at a discounted price. This is in addition to the 3-year warranty if you register the wheels as the first owner.
