Pro e Contro
Pro e Contro
- The wrap-around construction of the upper prevents pressure points and increases comfort.
- The lightweight mesh, TPU and synthetic leather upper provides good breathability and a comfortable feel, no matter how long your ride.
- The BOA L6 dial closure allows for quick micro-adjustments, even as you continue to cycle.
- The low stack height helps to keep the foot stable and improves pedal contact.
- The sole is not as stiff as in top-of-the-range XC shoes; you will notice the difference in race use.
- The shoes do not include reflective elements, limiting your visibility at dusk and in the dark, but this is usually not a problem on day rides in the woods.

Take your off-road performance to the next level with the Shimano XC503 women's cycling shoes! They offer a comfortable fit with powerful support on every pedal stroke, and are designed for technical rides in the woods and on the trails. With low weight and a snug fit, they are ideal for avid cross-country riders looking to combine speed and control.
Breathable materials with a perfect fit
The upper of the XC503 women's MTB shoes is made of breathable mesh, TPU and synthetic leather. This combination creates a lightweight and sturdy upper that moulds smoothly around the foot. Thanks to the wrap-around construction, the upper fits closely and reduces overlap for more comfort and less friction. The women-specific last offers extra support and stability, allowing the shoe to perfectly follow the natural contours of the female foot. The shoes are suitable for your rides in spring, summer and autumn.
Clever finish for top performance
The Shimano XC503 W has a BOA® L6 dial closure, which lets you adjust the fit quickly and precisely, even as you continue to cycle. The fibreglass-reinforced nylon midsole ensures efficient power transfer during tough climbs or fast sprints. Thanks to the low stack height, you are always stable on your pedal, and every pedal stroke feels direct. The durable SHIMANO ULTREAD XC outsole gives you excellent grip on different surfaces. In addition, you can add or swap spikes yourself, depending on your riding style and the type of terrain.
