The Saris H3 is a direct drive smart trainer with a sophisticated design. It is stable and very quiet, and it can connect with your favourite cycling software. Quiet!
Long gone are the days of those noisy bike trainers. The Saris H3 fits the trend of ever quieter direct drive trainers. According to the manufacturer, the Saris H3 produces less than 60 dB of noise at speeds of 35 km/h. This is comparable to the noise of a coffee maker or modern dishwasher - you should really hear it for yourself!

Stability
Even during the most intense workouts the Saris H3 will remain firmly in place. The cast aluminium is strong and durable. The flywheel weighs no less than 9 kg - more than those on most comparable trainers! A heavier flywheel makes for smooth riding that is very similar to reality. It can also take more force during the hardest training sessions or virtual races.

Compatibility
Of course, the most important question is whether your bike fits on this trainer. With the included adapters this should not be a problem for most road and mountain bikes. The trainer is quick-release compatible for rear hub widths of 130 mm / 135 mm, and thru-axle compatible for rear hub widths of 142 mm / 148 mm. The included cassette has an 11/25 toothing.

For 12-speed XD/XDR cassettes Saris offers separate drivers which are not included. The freehub body is easy to remove.

Virtual racing
It goes without saying that you can connect this bike trainer with your favourite cycle software, through Bluetooth or ANT+ FE-C. You can set the resistance yourself, see how much power you produce, and race online with other enthusiasts. Additional sensors are not required, as the trainer measures cadence, speed and wattage with 2% accuracy. With its 2000 watts the Saris H3 can simulate climbs of up to 20%.

You will need tools for the mounting and dismounting of the cassette. These tools are a chain whip and a cassette removal tool. You can find them here.

If you don't have a cassette for your trainer yet, check how many gears the cassette on your bike has and, if possible, the number of teeth, so that you know what you need. For example: 11-25, 11-28 etc.
