Technically advanced and suited to wide range gearing
The SRAM Rival eTap AXS rear derailleur features the same fantastic technology as the more expensive Force and Red derailleurs. Thanks to the X-Sync the chain is picked up earlier and the drivetrain runs more smoothly, so that the derailleur has more control over the chain. Even on rougher terrain.

With the SRAM AXS app you can set up your derailleur to shift exactly as you like. And if you have a 2x drivetrain, it's also possible to set up synchronised shifting, whereby the system automatically shifts between the front two chainrings.

X-Sync Pulleys
Thee SRAM X-Sync Pulleys deliver high performance and ensure durability. SRAM X-SYNC™ four-sided jockey wheel teeth pick the chain up earlier than traditional 3 sided teeth do. The X-SYNC™ cogs and jockey wheels are an integral part of the SRAM™ drivetrain and were developed in Germany.

AXS Connect technology
The SRAM Rival eTap AXS drivetrain is completely customisable using the SRAM AXS app. With the SRAM AXS app you can set up your derailleur to shift exactly as you like. And if you have a 2x drivetrain, it's also possible to set up synchronised shifting, whereby the system automatically shifts between the front two chainrings.

Skew derailleur hanger?
A problem that crops up often is a skew derailleur hanger. It can happen if the derailleur knocked into something, for example in the case of a fall on the bike. Luckily it can be fixed! You can read more here.

Clean the jockey wheels well too!
Just like the chain, the jockey wheels on a derailleur get super dirty. As a result the shifting is not as good and it does the lifespan of your derailleur no good. For that reason, it's a good idea to clean the jockey wheels at the same time when you clean and lube your chain. Do this by running a cloth along the jockey wheel while gently turning the chain.
