The Archetype road bike tyre is Continental's latest innovation, developed especially for the Tour de France 2025! A close collaboration with UAE Team Emirates - XRG has resulted in this updated race tyre, developed especially for competition use. With reduced rolling resistance, reduced weight and increased comfort, the Continental Archetype is made to win races on!

Made for Tour winners
The Archetype was developed in collaboration with UAE Team Emirates - XRG with the aim of creating a tyre that is even faster than Continental's fastest race tyres! It is the result of an extensive development process during which it was thoroughly tested and improved. And so it is now used by the best team in the UCI World Tour ranking.

The latest technologies
Continental's Archetype bike tyres feature the latest technologies. An updated version of the brand's well-known Black Chilli compound provides the perfect balance between rolling resistance and grip. With Lazer Grip technology, the shoulders on the Archetype's tread are roughened for optimal traction when cornering and descending. This laser tread also improves airflow around the tyre, making it more aerodynamic.

Black Chili compound
Of course, the Archetype road bike tyre features Continental's signature Black Chili compound. Thanks to this compound, Continental's tyres score well on rolling resistance, durability and wear resistance. The Archetype uses the latest polymers and updated carbon particles. As a result, the tyre offers an optimal balance between rolling resistance, puncture resistance and durability.

Lazer Grip technology
Continental uses laser technology on the edges of the Archetype. Thus, the tread connects optimally with the road surface for increased cornering traction. You will feel the effect especially at high speeds and in wet conditions!

Active Comfort technology
A shock-absorbing layer is applied under the tyre's skin to dampen vibrations from the road surface and, therefore, to increase comfort. Thanks to this Active Comfort layer, you can continue riding in an aerodynamic position for longer.

Tubeless Ready (TR)
This tyre is suitable for use with and without an inner tube. For tubeless use, you will need a tubeless valve and a tubeless-ready rim. Continental recommends adding 30 ml of sealant to the tyre.
