The Castelli Alpha RoS 2 W Light winter jacket for women is the ideal jacket for mild winter days with inclement winds.
Windproof front and water repellency
To stop a cold riding wind, the front of this winter jacket has been made windproof by using Gore-Tex Infinium Windstopper material. This also keeps out the worst of the cold right away. To make sure you don't overheat when donning this jacket in temperatures around 10 degrees, the back of the jacket has been made breathable. This makes it easy to lose excess heat. In addition, a water repellent layer is applied to the back, protecting you from fog or splashing water from the road. Please note that a rain shower will come through the jacket, so you cannot call it waterproof.
Determine the amount of ventilation
As this jacket is mainly meant for milder temperatures, ventilation is of great importance. You can easily determine the amount of ventilation yourself, which is nice during an intensive interval workout! This winter jacket consists of two layers, the outer windproof layer zips open to let in some cool breeze when it gets too hot. Open a little for a little bit of cooling, or throw it completely open for quick cooling. The bottom layer stays nicely on the skin, retaining its insulating power so you can't get hypothermia all at once.
Good workmanship for great cycling fun
To keep you as comfortable as possible on the bike, everything has been thought of with this jacket. For example, the zip slides open easily due to the use of a full YKK zip, ideal if you need a quick cool down. The Nano Flex Xtra Dry on the back ensures quick moisture wicking, but also stops splashing water. And on the back you will find three large pockets to easily carry your stuff. Your safety has also been taken into account with reflective elements for visibility.
