Easily do your own bike maintenance with the BBB Cycling PrecisionTorque BTL-174 torque spanner. This spanner is a must-have for anyone who does maintenance on carbon components, because components can crack or tear if you put too much pressure on your bolts. This metal key was designed to tighten bolts highly accurately. You can adjust this torque spanner in 0.1 Nm steps, so you can even effortlessly tighten bolts that have to be tightened to 3.8 Nm precisely.

How do you ensure the BTL-74 remains accurate?
It's important to put the BTL-74 torque spanner back into its starting position after use. That's how you prevent it from becoming less accurate after a while. If your torque spanner does become less precise after long-term use, it can be recalibrated. Contact BBB for recalibration of your torque spanner.

How do you know to what torque you should tighten a component?
In most cases, the right torque is indicated on the component, and you can use that information. This is the case for seatposts and stems, for example. If the right torque isn't written on your component, you can contact the manufacturer to find out the appropriate torque.
