Abus Purl-Y ACE

With the advent of e-bikes and speed pedelecs, speeds on cycle paths have increased enormously, and with them, of course, the risk of serious falls. A good helmet is an absolute must-have to be optimally equipped for these higher speeds. The Purl-Y ACE from Abus is a very good choice.

Safe and stylish
The helmet is subtly designed and contains few unnecessary details. At the front of the Purl-Y is a handy cap that offers light protection from sunlight and rainwater. At the back of the helmet is a handy rechargeable LED light. This gives you a dynamic light source in addition to your normal tail light, so you stand out even more.

NTA classification
A speed pedelec officially falls under the same regulation as a moped, so the corresponding helmet obligation also applies. However, having to sit on your speed pedelec with a heavy and cumbersome moped helmet is no fun. For this reason, the decision was made in 2017 to approve helmets with an NTA classification, these helmets are difficult to distinguish to the eye from "normal" bicycle helmets, but are built for higher speeds. The helmet is then especially reinforced around the temple and the back of the head.
