Stan's NoTubes Dart Tool

Does not do what it promises.
What a wan product. Had a hole which was not sealed. Wanted to put the plug in to seal the hole but both heads broke off. Not suitable for me.

I would not buy this item again or even buy new plugs for it
I did not succeed in repairing a relatively small hole in my tubeless MTB tire with this product, consisting of an application device and two included plugs. Of course, this may also be due to me....

Hope never to have to use it
The plug is easy to use. I had an old tyre worn out that I made a cut in to try out. After all, you want to know how and if it works when you are on the road. You do need to make sure there is still enough pressure and latex in your tyre otherwise this won't work. So a CO2 cartridge is recommended to have with you. Would be nice if this could be combined in 1 tool in the future.

Works well on its own, using common sense
Only previous experience with 32mm race tyre (Conti 5000S TL). After a puncture, still got home with 2 bar (the seal did not want to hold more pressure). Then at home first experience with this tool: the hole is very tight and small (because it does seal at ~22 bar), so the first prop did not go with it and the tip did go into the tyre. No success, then. Good thing I was home. Then folded the prop a few times, put it on the hole and got the tip into the hole after all. So the supplied prop is of strong quality. Then put 6 bar in again without any problems. Drove another 500km with that, then opened the same hole on the way, took out the prop. Now, on the road, I managed to get a new prop in the same way (2 min work), pump it up (6 bar) and off again. :) Both times (at home and on the road) gave me a lot of confidence to continue with tubeless and to keep using this tool on the road, without biba. I think I will use race sealant next time to reduce the chance of having to get off the bike again in case of a puncture; preferably let the sealant do its job. :)

Look further
In theory, a very nice remedy that should work perfectly with Stan's Notubes Sealant. Unfortunately, it sticks to theory. As pointed out in other reviews, the dart does not work as expected. The tip breaks off quickly, forcing you to use a 2nd dart right away. If then the dust from the 2nd dart also sticks to the outside of the tyre instead of sealing the hole, you can say with good certainty that it's a bad buy.

Don't buy.
The fabric releases when you push the dart into the band. This makes it an expensive, unusable solution.

Not yet on point
The conical plastic tip that should penetrate the tyre breaks off easily at small holes, so you have to try with a new plug each time.

Handy to have
This product has a lot of 1 and 5 star reviews, I give it 4 because the product is not completely foolproof but ultimately works and is still a better solution than trying to get a tubeless tyre off the rim on the side of the road and reassembling it with an inner tube. For smaller holes that the sealant just won't hold, product is a bit tricky the first time. I needed 2 tries the first time because the filler came back out when retracting the tool, almost all 1 star reviews describe the same problem which happens mostly for smaller holes. The second attempt when I held the spring back when pulling it out succeeded and the road bike tyre now stays at a good pressure (6 bar).

Worthless product
A cut of +/- 5 mm in racing tyres cannot be sealed, plastic tip goes in, the "plume" that should seal the hole lets go and does not go in with it.

Does not work
Multiple darts in 28c band tried to put in but material won't go inside hole.

Does not work on racing tyre
Leak of 3mm in race tyre which did not stay closed due to milk. Meanwhile, 4 points in the tyre, but unfortunately without a piece of dust in it. Point disappears in the tyre and dust remains outside. Too bad

Handy thing, fixed my tyre with it.
Watched video of Stan's. Looks easy and it is. Top product!

Brilliant but expensive
Works as advertised and plugs leaks that the 'bacon rind' would struggle with. I begrudge the price but it is excellent.

It works!
Used to repair a tear of approx 6mm. Had repaired it with a plug, this only partially worked, tyre dissolved slowly. Added some extra latex, plug out Dart in and Dart on bottom tyre. Quite a lot of latex squirted out, but after some wiggling around with the latex around the Dart crack closed perfectly. Tyre already tested on heavy offroad and no pressure loss. Proficat Stan's with this top product. Unfortunately a bit too expensive for my liking.

Ideal repair kit for tubeless road bikes
Very easy to use, non-sticky, small enough for a racing tyre (25mm) yet bulky enough to fill a big hole. I no longer leave home without it.
