Premium shoe with a dial that has design issues
I own both the cross (XC) and road (R) version and both share the same problem : the X-Dial has a screw made of soft alloy and the head wears out. I had to replace the dial on each pair once and it's a nightmare to get that screw out. Last time I had to jigsaw the whole dial to remove the screw. The fact you have to replace the X-Dial due to either the rope jamming or because it simply fell off during a ride is a concern already a big enough concern. Cannot recommend. I've had a pair of Van Rysel shoes for longer and never had an issue. Mantel staff was prone to help, but the shoes are just not up to what they cost. Also, don't get fooled on the waterproofing : 9 times out of 10 the water comes from your trousers and falls of in your socks. Your shoes may be waterproof but if your trousers aren't, your doomed to ride with wet feet. Front mudguards that are low-hanging are IMHO what helps the most in maintaining feet dryer for a little longer. You'd be surprised how much water gets from the wheel into your shoes.

warm and waterproof shoe but a little too narrow at the forefoot
The shoe is just a bit too narrow for me, which means I do get cold toes even after 1h at zero °C. It is better than with normal shoes + overshoes, but still. It would be great if NW could market a wider version.

Once attracted nice and warm feet, now a solution against rainwater seeping in from above
Once I have the shoes on, they keep my feet nice and warm, even after three or four hours of cycling. In heavy rain, rainwater does seep in at the top (even with trousers over the shoe), causing wet and therefore cold feet. No idea whether there is a shoe where this is not the case.

Solid but room for improvement.
Swivel mechanism could be better.

Top winter mtb shoe.
Product itself is very well put together. Only just too narrow for me so I end up getting cold feet after 1 hour at 0 degrees. Perhaps an option to measure the widest part of the sole and indicate it in the sizing on the site.

With warm feet through the winter!
These shoes have been on my wish list for a long time! Really a huge difference compared to cycling with overshoes. Recently tested them with minus 4 degrees and 8 hours in the saddle. My feet stayed warm, only my toes were cold, but not too cold. The shoe is easy to adjust because of the closure. To the foot width. My feet are quite narrow so I do have to tighten them but the material stays nicely around the foot without creasing. I will definitely recommend these shoes to others !

Highly recommended
This northwave is definitely going to live up to all expectations

Exactly what I wanted.
I have now done three rides around freezing. Also in the rain. My feet stayed warm and dry. I find it ideal that, while cycling, you can loosen the buckle step by step if your feet swell a bit. I should have done this much earlier. I also put on new Shimano SM-SH56 SPD Multi Release cleats and now even clicking in and out of the pedals is even smoother than I expected.

Warm practical and beautiful winter shoes
Another 3 rides and 1 at 3 to 4 degrees I am very satisfied as I always have cold toes at this temperature with winter shoes and then overshoes. At 7 to 8 degrees still ok for me, though sweating around the ankles with the raised band in that place with then stockings and long trousers. Shoes quite easy to put on and take off (was a fear). The fact that they are nice shoes with a convenient fastening is another good thing.

No better for the faint-hearted
I've finally found my winter shoe, because my feet are very cold. Sturdy but light, it can be cleaned like a rubber boot.

I live in the Jura (a cold region) and these are perfect.
Quality product, well finished. The fight against the cold is well contained with these Celsius Arctic. 1st test on an outing of 3 hours at -3 ° ... conclusion NICKEL. I recommend it without reservation.

Good against the cold
In cold and dry weather, ideal shoes, feet easily stay warm for 3 to 4 hours with good socks. Unfortunately, when it rains, water runs from the trousers into the shoes.

Super nice and nice and warm MTB shoes. To put the shoe on, you have to open the wire of the buckle as far as possible. Then putting them on is very easy.

Ideal when cold and rainy
Ideal for all rides below +-15 degrees. On a long ride at -8 and snow, I did get cold feet but it was manageable. The shoes don't feel any clunkier than summer shoes either. Below -10 I would rather look at the (clunkier) bontrager shoes but in temperate climates these shoes are definitely sufficient!

Fine winter shoe, but shouldn't freeze really hard.
Nice comfortable shoe, good sole, already cycled a lot with it!

Not waterproof
Now tested three times in rain and snow, at temperatures between -3°C and 5°C. Each time water got in, resulting in cold feet. Only stay dry with additional overshoes (which shouldn't). Not my best purchase.

Perfect winter shoe
Today , in -5 deg , cold easterly wind and through snow, did 5 hours of courier work. Result: no freezing cold feet and no wet feet either. A relief to cycle in these weather conditions with this comfort .

They are worth every euro they cost.
If you are looking for boots for winter and cold, these are your boots. Waterproof, warm and with good support. Maybe the price will put you off, but when you wear them twice, you will have forgotten about the money and it will be worth the investment.

Great shoes, warm and comfortable
Already done a few trips around freezing with it. Likes it fine. Feels good and comfortably warm. I do not like the drawstring closure as much. A little fiddly at first. When you put the shoe on, you need space and you have to remove the drawstring from the hook. This is tricky. But perhaps that will become a knack.

Wonderfully warm and well-fitting shoe.
This shoe fits perfectly and feels great. I did take it one size bigger myself so that I can still wear a thicker sock in it. The sizing is otherwise fine.

Never cold toes again.
Looking for a pair of winter shoes, I first tried the normal Celsius which turned out to be too cold so I exchanged it for this pair. Totally well organised and never cold feet again!

Nice warm-fitting shoe
Glad I tried it on in the Mantel shop. With a size up, I bought a lovely shoe. Not cheap, but well worth its money so far. Classy product
