Lezyne Hecto Drive 500XL / KTV Drive

expensive for what you get
Rear light does not charge/discharges quickly, bought when I bought bike but hardly ever rode in the dark. So did not notice at first, unfortunately. Front light does give a solid bowl of light.

Seeing and being seen
Excellent lights! Not only are you seen, but you can see enough yourself.

Good lights, bad battery
Does what it is supposed to do: see and be seen. The lights themselves work well and are easy to mount. USB charging is also convenient, no hassle with cables. I do find the lights' battery drains really quickly, though. After 40 minutes on the highest setting, the battery is as good as empty. So very irritating when you come home from work in the dark.

Good lighting set, even on really dark stretches
Advantages: Good light kit, price/quality top, which performs better that expected on really dark roads. Charges easily and quickly via built-in USB connection. Sturdy rubber mounting straps. Cons: Front light on maximum setting after +-1h flat and then switches to eco mode. Rubber mounting strap of front light is on the short side. The one for the taillight is a loose part, so something you could easily lose if you disassemble the light.

I'm really pleased with this purchase because I can see that motorists are finally seeing me!
I cycle in the city of Nîmes during the day, and despite recent improvements, it's still quite dangerous to cycle, especially when crossing junctions with the constant flow of cars.

Great value for money
Very good set for this price! The USB connections are super solid (full size USB) and the light output is more than sufficient on the highest setting. Battery of the headlight does get really empty after an hour of highest setting and then switches to lowest setting

Good value for money
With the weather getting dark faster at night, I ordered this lighting set anyway. Super easy to attach. Gives good light. And are easy to charge.

Good, bright lighting
easy to mount on my road bike. Quite compact and therefore easily fits under a saddlebag, for example. Easy to charge via separate USB connection

Great product at normal price
Good lighting, with frequent disassembly and reassembly, when storing, the elastic band of the rear light can be lost

Good product, does what it is made for
You are well visible. Do think the strength could be slightly higher, though.

Prima prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding
Lampjes geven voldoende licht, ook in donkere omgeving. Ze zijn makkelijk van de fiets te halen en weer te bevestigen.

Lezyne Hecto Drive 500XL / KTV Drive is a fine lamp in its use, bright and clear illumination

Very good value for money!
I already had a previous model from Lezyne and went back to the brand because I was very satisfied with both the practical attachment and the light intensity and functionality. The successor model is now even more powerful and has a longer battery life. Would recommend it at any time!

Top set for commuting
Good lighting set. The lights both feel very solid and are easy to mount with the supplied rubber bands. The 500 lumen front light is more than enough for racing. During my commute to work, I ride through the woods and there I can see enough with lamp in the brightest position (500 lumens), the rest of the ride over (poorly) lit cycle paths, the second position (200 lumens) is more than enough. The rear light also has two modes, each of which is more than bright enough to be seen. The only drawback, in my opinion, is the battery life of the front light. In the brightest setting, the front light lasts for 1 hour, while in the second setting it lasts for 2 hours. For my commuter rides, this is enough but should I want to cycle quite a bit in the evening, this is a bit on the short side.

Top light
Ideal set. The range and battery life is better than I thought. I use it on my touring bike, city bike and yes, even with the kids on the cargo bike! One small minus is the mounting bracket for the rear light, I am bound to lose it when (dis)assembling it.

Perfect lighting set that fits my aero handlebars
For my new Canyon with aero handlebars (CP10), I was looking for a lighting set at a reasonable price. It was a bit of a gamble but the Hecto Drive 500 XL fits the handlebars exactly. The lighting works properly, I use it on usually poorly lit roads in Denmark around sunset.

Simple and good
Bright light or slightly less bright and longer on a battery charge. Just charge in your computer's usb port. Assembly and disassembly is easy and fits in your pocket!

Very good visibility
Brightness is very good from both front and rear lights. Definitely enough modes, but not too many either. Battery strength of the rear light is definitely sufficient for several days of commuting. Battery strength of the front light is a little less, but then again that depends on the brightness you choose. All in all, more than sufficient for commuting. Robust housing and fully weatherproof.

Great buy!
Very nice lighting set! Used several times already and like it very much. Excellent service! Use: for the road bike, very easy to mount and ideal to use

Nice set, lots of light!
Here and there I read that the front light gave too little light. I don't notice any of that. Even on the not brightest setting, there is more than enough light in the dark. The different modes in terms of how it flashes or lights up are nice. Only downside is that no charging cable is included. So you either have to have a usb plug already, or plug it into your PC. Otherwise top!

(rechargeable) lights from Lezyne, that bike carefree and fine !
easy to apply, compact, different light intensities, and if it's on sale: strike immediately !

Best little lights with decent beam I've found yet!
I regularly order these lights from Mantel. Not because they break but because my slobs lose them despite being easy to store. Time and again, this bundle is the cheapest at Mantel. If the kids don't lose them anyway, the battery lasts a long time :-)
