Designed for (technical) MTB trails
The SQlab 611 Ergowave Active S-Tube is geared more specifically towards MTB use. This is obvious from the approximately 4 mm wide nose and slightly thicker padding on top of the saddle, which makes the 611 very suitable for rough off-road terrain. To protect the saddle during rough handling, it is reinforced with Kevlar.
The Ergowave design of the SQlab saddles looks a bit like a wave. The raised back section provides great support and optimal pressure distribution during cycling, which in turn leads to a more comfortable ride and better power transfer. The front of the saddle is lowered so that the front of your body does not touch the saddle. Combined with the recess in the middle of the saddle, this shape ensures that you will not get pain in your sensitive areas, even when cycling in an aerodynamic position!
Active technology
SQlab's Active technology consists of an exchangeable elastomer in the back section of the saddle. This elastomer allows the saddle to follow your natural cycling movement; your lower vertebrae are mobilised, and the pressure on your seat bones is reduced. This movement causes the muscles and vertebrae to be used during cycling, reducing the risk of pain developing in the lower back. This makes SQlab saddles with Active technology very comfortable.

Very pleasant saddle!
I was looking for a saddle that gave more comfort to the noble parts but also had a sporty look. This saddle certainly is that. It takes some getting used to at first because you are really sitting on the seat bones, but after a few times of riding you don't want anything else.

Good experience with an older type which broke due to a fall. Therefore ordered a new one the same day. Top saddle and top service from Mantel. Ordered Monday at 8pm, delivered Tuesday at 10am.

Pricey but good saddle with great comfort.
Bought this to replace Scott's stock saddle (on the Spark RC 900 Team). Wanted more comfort and less sagging, especially on climbs. That worked out! No more sagging parts and when I get on the MTB it feels a lot better, nicer. The higher rear end does make you feel a bit more forward leaning, but you can compensate by adjusting the angle of the saddle in relation to the handlebars. After a very long ride (5+ hours), I did notice at the end that I was getting some discomfort from sitting. Maybe also because I am not used to it (don't do this every week).

Pricey but good saddle with great comfort.
