Proper implementation
Comes complete with Allen wrench for securing the base. Mantel's specifications describe well what is included and what is not. What is a very big minus is a clear manual, you now have to pluck this off the internet, along with the calibration app. I cycle via bluetooth 4.0, this goes fine. I still needed an extra fill ring for the cassette.

Prima kwaliteit, goede indoorbezigheid
Topkwaliteit, functioneert prima en goede wifi verbinding. Helaas heb ik een 9 speed fiets, dat geeft soms wat schakelproblemen.

Very positive first experience, I've rediscovered the pleasure of off-season cycling. Very easy to install and set up (tried on a PC and an IPad via Bluetooth).

Good alternative for when the weather outside is rotten
Bought this for the bad weather days, but use it even when the weather is good for a quick hour workout....

A fantastic indoor trainer
After assembling and installing the cassette, I put my MTB on it, installed the app (had to create a Garmin account) and off I went, mimicking the hilly feeling.

Silent smart top trainer
Not a tinkerer at all, but thanks to Mantel's how to videos I was able to install it easily. I used to have magnetic brake rollers, which are quite noisy compared to the Tacx Flux. Finally, the connectivity makes it fun to track your performance.

Voldoet prima; Blijft stabiel staan.
Gekocht voor de winter, maar ook wanneer het weer goed is gebruik ik de tacx. Ook de stijging percentage werkt perfect.

Top purchase
I hesitated for a long time about buying it, but I don't regret it for a second. A quick hour of pedaling between homework is very pleasant.

Quiet, robust and stable device.
Very robust, stable and fine device. Gives an awful lot of possibilities to train. In combination with tacx or zwift app also good connection and a special experience when cycling up a virtual mountain. Hard to sync with a MacBook though. You need an ant+ dongle for this. Also a pity that you can't connect a heart rate belt in the tacx app, therefore bound to Zwift.

Top end smart trainer
Easy to set up and use turbo trainer, the SMART functionality works easily with TACX own application and Zwift, Sufferfest etc. The fitment of my bike was easy with the customer focused instructions and once I’d set an account on the different apps I was able to begin training ASAP. The turbo provides a realistic interactive experience for the cyclist, highly recommended training aid.

Actions bring frustrations
This product comes with a Garmin HRM dual. You need to arrange this yourself by sending the proof of purchase. Within two weeks you should be notified. Well no way. Too bad mantle as seller does not arrange this.

Top purchase for the winter
I could go into a whole story here about how more fun indoor training is now, but so much has already been said. And....it is too! Installation is a piece of cake, Zwift install and plug and play. Even for the notorious digibeet a breeze. Tip: buy a dongel for an interference-free connection between PC and sensors. Great purchase!

Fine trainer with which I can entertain indoors again for the time being
Fine trainer that instantly links itself to your computer so you can start right away

Good product, does what it promises.
We purchased the product in the store, initially went for the flux s trainer. During the salesman's explanation we decided to go for the Flux 2 smart. Once we arrived home the flux 2 was ready to use within minutes, it is all straight forward. Connecting to a laptop, tablet and PC via bluetooth is no problem. Install software of your choice and off you go :). We have been using the Flux 2 for 2-3 weeks now and like it very much, we have chosen the zwift software and have both started a training plan so we can easily make some miles in the future.

Meets my expectations from delivery to use product.
Fine handling, delivered quickly. easy to build, too bad you have to request the free heart rate monitor through Garmin, is again extra hassle, just include when there is an action.

See the last sentence of my experience
The calibration is still not good after three attempts. The biggest drawback, however, is that we want to train with two tacx's side by side and then the blutooth pairing goes completely haywire. That does not work at all. A big disappointment, which Tacx does not report and for which they do not provide a good solution. Fact is that it will cost more money and you don't know if it will work. Big disappointment if you just bought two Tacxes for a lot of money.

Nice device, still room for improvement
After several years of getting through the winters with a very old Tacx Bushido, the lack of vacation opportunities due to the corona pandemic has freed up the budget for me to buy a nice upgrade. Like, it seems, half of the Netherlands I now happily Zwift around in the digital cycling world. The Tacx does what it promises, and the difference with my old wheel-on trainer is huge. Especially in combination with the online possibilities and tacx training apps, this machine is a great deal of fun. Overall, I am very satisfied; the resistance runs smoothly and feels realistic as far as possible, and it is nice and quiet. This ensures that the "training pleasure" is great. However, there are some points that I would like to see improved: - Connectivity: I use a cadence, speed and heart rate monitor on my road bike. It is not possible to connect this without additional equipment. For this I had to buy the Tacx ANT+ sensor with it. Is it completely fair to mention this as a minus point? No it is not; it is also not advertised. Is it something I would like to see added: yes, definitely. Additionally, it took some effort to figure out what steps I needed to take to get this working (there is no indication anywhere in the product manual or Tacx's website as to exactly what product you need to pair those sensors properly) The first few times I used the Tacx via Bluetooth and not via the ANT+ sensor I bought later; this resulted in a somewhat patchy connection which meant that the data the device has to pass on to your training app does not always come through in real time, but sometimes lags a few seconds. Especially with short intervals very inconvenient. - Accuracy of the built-in cadence meter. The Tacx has a built-in cadence meter. Even after connecting the Tacx via the ANT+ connector, in my opinion it underperforms. That is why I now use my separate garmin cadence meter, which fortunately also connects well via the ANT+ connector. A world of difference, and I recommend everyone to use your own cadence meter. - Build quality: For 800 euros, I expected a higher level of workmanship. There are rough plastic edges here and there that really could have been better finished, especially across the middle of the device. (It looks like there are 2 halves, left and right, pressed together, on this press edge there are many plastic burrs). The plastic of the protruding legs with light blue Tacx text looks cheap. A different paint would have made a lot of difference here. - Installation: The instructions for installation and commissioning were very brief. I had to seek additional information through other channels to make sure I was doing everything right, such as installing my cassette. So why still get an 8 with so many extensive cons? Now that I have the device working properly, for example with my own cadence sensor, it is simply enjoyable. The cheaper plastic obviously doesn't show when you're pedaling away the snot in front of your eyes, and with the ANT+ connector, connectivity is no longer an issue.

Top device for the dark winter season!
After much hesitation I decided to buy an indoor trainer for the bad weather period in winter. I was a bit skeptical but I must say that I like it very much. In the Tacx training app you can cycle virtual routes with accompanying video of, for example, the last loop of the Amstel Gold Race with all its tough climbs. Very fun to do, the trainer reacts quickly and adjusts the resistance very smoothly, so that e.g. the Eyserbosweg still hurts.... The trainer also works fine in ERG mode. You can then set a fixed wattage that you have to deliver a minimum all the time. Furthermore, you can create your own workouts. In short, a lot is possible. If I have to mention a minus it is that the power cord is a bit short. I solved this simply with an extension cord and it is certainly not a dealbreaker. My first trainer contained a weird ticking sound at the flywheel. After contacting customer service I sent a video with sound for review. Then within 2 days I received a message that the trainer could be exchanged so I was not without a trainer. Really top service from Mantel. The new trainer runs like clockwork, probably just bad luck with the first one.

Super happy with the Tacx Flux 2 Smart T2980
Gladly surprised when this Tacx was 'suddenly' in stock, could hardly believe it. A day later it was already delivered. What a service and timing. Used it a lot just before the frost. Good combination with Zwift. Very different to cycling indoors though, miss the breeze and bird sounds.

Highly addictive
Been on the Tacx for 2 weeks now and I am very excited. In combination with Zwift incredibly addictive and fun way to keep cycling in the winter. Especially with friends and the online Zwift community an enrichment for your sports life. Pairing with garmin heart rate monitor, cadence sensor, strava and laptop goes flawlessly. Just 40 minutes of training on a busy (work) day is doable and makes it easier to get your miles in, especially in winter. I found the installation manual a bit unclear, especially for bikes with disc brakes. Attaching the mounts is easy but additional washers are needed for some bikes. For bikes with disc brakes this is not described at all. For some bikes additional parts have to be ordered which I find quite amazing for this price. In addition, a trainer mat, cassette, cassette whip and front wheel support are not included. You can't really start without one. Maybe an idea for Mantel to make a starter kit? I would also advise everyone to order a good fan, without a fan training is actually not doable. All in all still very satisfied with the purchase.

Just a pity that the power is over-rated, which distorts zwift and other races. Very good Mantel service.

Great buy
The installation took a bit longer than I expected due to the brief description that came with it, and I have a 142x12mm thru-axle, but in the end it worked and I am already doing the first miles on swivel.

Good training device
Fast, good delivery by Mantel. Nicely finished stable trainer. Mount your own cassette, bike on it, and train away. I installed a separate usb bluetooth 4.0 adapter in my pc, data transfer works perfectly. On my smartphone Tacx utilities for calibration and on the pc the Tacx desktop app linked directly to my Garmin account. In 1 hour I had everything unpacked and installed. Get the info from the Tacx app under FAQs and from the internet. I did install a mountain cassette right away. I found the included (loose) power cable too short and the manual too brief, therefore an 8.

It costs you something, but then you have something.
Easy to install, both mechanically and the connection to the computer. Programs like Zwift and Tacx make cycling on the cycletrainer more attractive and a bit more lifelike.

Easy to use and quiet
This Tacx has more than enough to offer. The unit is very quiet to use, feels solid (no wiggling) and is actually ready to use as soon as you plug it in. No complicated setup or all sorts of settings you have to go through before you can ride. I don't miss the few extras that the Tacx Neo 2T has. For this amount of money, this Tacx is a very good choice. Super satisfied!

You need time to get used to it and I hope the creaking stops
After a week of practice, cycled a tour of Rome without any problems, in the first rides quite a problem with the powerful resistance, practice makes perfect. Not easy at 71.

This device perfectly meets the normal requirements you may have as an experienced indoor cyclist....
Previous trainer (already) faulty after 4 years. Had paid €1,200 for this so I had no intention of spending that much money on it again. However, as I do Zwift on average 2x a week, it had to be a decent new trainer. The Tacx Flux 2 Smart fully meets this requirement, does not reach the highest incline percentages and max wattages but in real life you will never achieve this either, so don't spend your extra money on this. So this device fulfils normal requirements perfectly. If you have far above average requirements (wattage, etc.) and want to go for innovation, you can of course buy the more expensive version(s).
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Many times more interesting than imagined
Long hesitated. Used to have an old version, and it ended up aimlessly in the corner after several uses. This one is different. Tinkering with cables etc. is a thing of the past, and there are plenty of programs to use, and Tacx itself is no longer comparable to the ceedees. I bought it for Zwiften but now have a subscription to trainerroad. And once in a while a movie from Tacx itself. It remains that you have to be prepared not to have your head in the wind, and a fan is practically mandatory, because you are sweating. I really feel like I have done something when I regularly have to go all the way. Something that didn't happen much outside on the bike. Everything in view, heart rate, cadence, power, time. The price is fair I guess, I found the most expensive version too, although I can't judge if this one is also worth its money since I haven't tested it. For me it's well worth its money.

Goed product
Goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding. Koop wel direct cassette erbij en ook een matje en voorwielsteun om verschuiven op gladde vloer te voorkomen.

Functional and effective!
By now have owned the device for almost a year. In combination with apps like Zwift or Tacx Training, it gives a pretty realistic, and even fun, cycling experience. Device responds smoothly and accurately on inclines/descents. Resistance is adequate for me. It is not recommended to stand on the pedals while cycling: you can fall over! All in all, a nice alternative for (in winter) outdoor cycling. Want to cycle with an app on your tablet? Purchase Tacx's tablet holder!

Excellent product...
Being able to install everything fairly quickly (hardware) Software is still a bit of a problem, especially the Garmin and Swift programs. The power cord could have been longer, I was able to extend it with an original 3 point cord.... (see photo)

Perfect device that is well worth the price.
Meets fine; works with Kinomap. Stays stable even with more intensive use. Does require power; so this is different from the Neo Smart.
