Shimano XT PD-M8100

Better than Anticipated
Excellent product, easy to instal with adjustable tension, so great for people trying them out for the first time you can have them loose (easy to release) or a bit tighter to match your preference. Also double sided so you can always clip in.

Pedals to rely on
Been using Shimano XT pedals on my mtb for years. On my new Scalpel, of course, Shimano pedals again.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Solid, reliable, what more could you ask for?
Shimano pedals are excellent products and, above all, they're sturdy and solid enough to take a beating without flinching. I've had them for years on all my bikes, and I've never replaced them. A little heavier, but that's for the sake of sturdiness. These are intended for a new bike :)

Click in, click out, smoothly and quickly
With these Shimano XT SPD pedals, you click in as easily as out. Thanks to the wide bearing surface, your power is transferred directly to the pedals without suffering from painful pressure points under your shoes. The good hub seal ensures that they run smoothly even after many kilometres. Slightly heavier than the XTR, but good value for money.
Pros & Cons

only ever buy these. reliable and not too pricey.

Excellent pedals
First SPD pedals, coming from crankbrothers, I don't regret the change. Perfect fit, you can feel and hear whether you're clipped in or not. Seem robust.

Outstanding
These pedals do the job are light and very easy to clip into. Much cheaper than the XTR pedals.

Shimano say no more.
As always high quality pedals. Does exactly what it says on the tin. Reliable, well made and last.
Pros & Cons

Totally what I was looking for
Engaging is a lot easier than with racing pedals with only 1 locking option. Before I get out of town and am able to ride undisturbed, I have already passed many traffic lights. And then easier engagement is super important.
Pros & Cons

Gets what you expect
You get what you expect from these pedals. look good and after quite a few km driven through the mud they still perform well. never any issues with clicking in/out. this is now my 2nd pair, after at least 2500 km.

Excellent value for money compared to the XTRs.
These reversible pedals are a real plus, even and especially for road bikes. No need to look when reclipping.

High quality SPD pedals
Fine pedals that are easy to find to click into. Good support from a slightly larger platform.

The perfect pedal EXISTS and is for everyone.
The pedals arrive wrapped in the original packaging, including cleats to fit under the shoes. The pedal is durable, well made, performs all the functions of its big brother with slightly more weight, but at a significantly lower cost. This pedal is ideal both for those new to "quick release" because it allows you to adjust the pressure on the cleats to the minimum, but also for the advanced amateur, again because of the adjustability. I do not recommend it solely for weight freaks and/or advanced pros.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Lightweight and durable.
Shimano XT range, the best for the medium/expert user, its resistant materials will allow you to prolong the life of the pedals after continuous use. - Only 342 grams per pair of these pedals. - Maintenance is easy to do by yourself as you only need an 8mm hex wrench to do it. It is not like the lower models that you need a special wrench to open them. - Sealed bearings. - XC aesthetics

Pros & Cons

Great product
A great pedal with reasonable flexibility to avoid knee damage. Easy and simple installation and adjustment.
4 / 5
Good pedal
Great pedal for a clipless system. Easy to clip and unclip due to the clips being on both sides of the pedals. I would advise against using a ball tip hex key as it could strip the screw if stuck at the loosest position.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Easy action pedals
smooth operation clip in clip out .ajustable to your preference. Reliable , no flicking the pedal to get the right position its there every time .

High quality product
Smooth, robust and trustworthy pedals from Shimano. As expected but my expectations were high!
Pros & Cons

excellent pedals
I am always twisting with my right foot so carbon pedals wear out within a year. With these pedals the sides where the shoe rests on are made of aluminum so they wear out much less quickly than pedals made of time etc .

Best pedals I've had so far
Just top

A very nice piece of kit
These pedals work just like all of the other Shimano SPD pedals The XT’s look great and work great. They are the best compromise of weight and price I’m very happy with my purchase and wish I had got them sooner
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Built like a tank, but practical and comfortable
I drive these pedals on a newly built road bike. They are significantly heavier than single-sided SPD pedals, but for that I can click in blindly at any time. No more annoying poking around with the feet after the traffic light stop - it's worth it to me. The pedals have run absolutely inconspicuous on the first trips and make the impression of being built for eternity.

Just exactly what you look for in a good quality pedal

These pedals are excellent for cycling.
Great value for money. You can move a little bit without immediately coming unstuck. Cleats are included. I use them on my MTB as well as my road bike.
Pros & Cons

Excellent, also for road bike
I'm one of those cyclists with mtb pedals on his road bike. (For several reasons, but I know; it's still swearing in church). These pedals are just absolutely fine for this. Smooth, easy to engage and disengage, especially in the city ideal. Especially in combination with mtb shoes with a really stiff sole, you can still apply hard power. Great cycling. And walking

Perfect
I bought a new set because my old ones seemed to have a tick after 2 years. When I opened up the old ones to give everything a good cleaning and lubrication they were found to still be well greased and in good condition. Unlike the cheaper versions, these pedals last for several years.

Good pedals without breaking the bank
Normally using speedplay, but need something off road. Great quality and impressive that you can adjust the float and tightness they lock the shoe in. Durability, no idea yet. Find out how they get on over winter and the next year.
