Knog Scout Bike Alarm

Works great for finding your bike location. Couple of months in use on first battery charge and is still 75% full. The alarm is fun rather than useful. Comes out sound that attracts attention from bystanders, so it has its purpose. Just not too loud. The Scout is so sensitive that even 1 gust of wind triggers it. Even if you customise the sensitivity, so that makes it useless again. Would be nice if an update would customise the sensitivity. Installing alarm and in Find My went well for me in one go! I normally never have that.

Disappointing product. The app only works on iOS and even then the app is very buggy and unstable. The app often forgets my Scout for no reason, pairing with Apple "Find My" was very cumbersome (had to do a factory reset several times). The alarm also goes off way too fast, causing me to silence it. As soon as someone taps my bike in e.g. a bicycle shed, the alarm already goes off on its least sensitive setting. So you get a lot of "false positive" signals from "thieves" who ultimately turn out to be nothing.

My experience with it was good, especially since it is integrated into the Apple Find My service, but its application is not that great.

Received quickly and easy installation. Install under water bottle possible but bolts (with special key to (dis)assemble) may be too short in combination with other accessories (e.g. lock holder that also use water bottle location). Functions for sensitivity touch and set alarm tone useful. It is mainly a deterrent. Alarm on bike well audible, not very loud. To transmit alarm signal, your mobile does need to be within bluetooth range, which often means you can see your bike. Works as expected and glad I invested in this.

Could be louder. The app hangs a little more often than I would like. I'm not very confident that the theft protection has been increased. If the thief comes, I hope he gets a brief fright and skips away.

A very good addition to the lock and ideal for short stops at the petrol station or bakery. Secure and stable attachment compared to the AirTag

Very easy to set up

I used it at the lowest sensitivity. You have to move the wheel or device significantly.
