Preparing for the cycle tour – I need all-terrain tyres (cycle path, stable dirt track) – the best all-round choice for my Tarmac SL7.

Tyres are (especially folding tyres) quite heavy and tricky to fit. But they’re incredibly comfortable to ride on and handle beautifully on the road.

Pros & Cons

It’s better to use a different tyre for KOM attacks or short, fast rides. I’m gradually letting that go and just enjoying the ride. So for me, what matters is the tyre’s durability, good grip in bad weather and simply reliability. I bike to work for an hour two or three times a week, and these tyres have already got me through a whole season.

Because of a somewhat narrower rim, it took me blood, sweat and tears to put the tyre on. Once it's on, I feel super comfortable on the road.

Good value for money

Once has to be the first time... never did I get a bond not made in 28 years! But he's there hear the tyre I can't boss. I gave in and so they are going back because they are unusable.

Super service

I have had several Continental tyres before and they were easy to put on, but this was really a different story. In the end it worked with the Cycling Easytire Tyre Tool I had bought in the past.
