Pros
One of the highest quality wheelsets available. |
Cup cone bearings prevent friction in the hub and last much longer with light maintenance than industrial bearings. |
Lightweight, aerodynamic and good braking performance with disc brakes. |
Thanks to the rim height of 55mm, the Wind 55 DB wheels give you a great aerodynamic advantage over lower wheel sets. |
It is possible to fit tyres from 25mm up to 50mm. This makes the Wind 55 DB wheels suitable for both road and gravel bikes. |
Thanks to the Fulcrum 2-Way Fit technology it is possible to mount both clincher and tubeless tyres. |
The sealed industrial bearings in these wheels spin smoothly while being well sealed against water and dirt at the same time. |
The great looks of these wheels will make you the centre of attention with your cycling buddies. |
The Cosmic Pro Carbon UST has aerodynamic 45 mm NACA rims that are not sensitive to wind and ensure low air resistance. |
The UST tubeless system has an airtight connection between rim and tyre. This makes the setup perfectly airtight and can even be made tubeless using a normal bicycle pump. |
The Instant Drive 360 body has a 9-degree engagement, which means that the wheelset responds very quickly when you put power to your pedals. |
After registering the wheels on the Mavic website, the factory warranty is extended from 2 to 3 years. |
Cons
The wheelset has a rather basic look next to the large Dura Ace stickers. |
The Wind 55 DB wheels are less universal than its ‘little brother’ Wind 40 DB due to the deeper rim. |
Only available with AFS Centerlock discs. If you ride with 6-hole brake discs, you will need to purchase Centerlock discs. |
The Cosmic Pro Carbon UST Disc is only available with Shimano 10-11 speed. Optionally, a SRAM XDR or Campagnolo body is available. |
Mavic tires not included. |
