According to the product specialist
Pros
The Kryptolok chain lock measures 120 or 170 centimetres and is suitable for your city bike, e-bike or cargo bike!
The 9 mm thick links are made of Manganese steel and have a Deadbolt and End Link design, making the last link of the chain even stronger.
The specialised disc-style cylinder provides extra protection against lockpicking and drilling.
Equipped with a weatherproof nylon cover that prevents lacquer damage to your bike!
Comes with two ergonomic i-keys and a Key Safe programme!
This chain has an ART quality mark and is therefore suitable for bicycle insurance.
Both the chain and the cylinder as well as the internal elements are made of special hardened steel.
The textile cover of the Abus Ionus 8900 prevents damage to the paintwork of your bicycle.
ART-certified when it comes to securing your bike against theft.
The cover prevents damage to your bike.
Extra durable since the lock housing and chain are made from hardened steel.
The hardened steel links provide a strong barrier that is extremely difficult to break open.
The built-in light in the key illuminates the keyhole, making it very easy to open the lock in the dark of night.
The soft sleeve around the chain prevents hard knocks against the bike frame and keeps the paintwork scratch-free.
ART 2 certification provides a recognised security standard that enables you to take out bike insurance without any problems.
Cons
This extra sturdy lock weighs 3 kilograms, making it relatively heavy.
This chain lock is relatively heavy with a weight of 2.5 kilograms.
At 2.2kg it is a bit on the heavy side
At 120 cm long, the chain takes up quite a bit of space when folded but can be wrapped around the seatpost a few times to be out of the way.
A key with a built-in light may need a new battery at some point, but under normal use, the original one will last for several years.
