City Bike & E-Bike Saddles Selection Guide

For what sort of sitting position is the saddle for?

Because the space between your sit bones gets incrementally greater the further you bend over forwards, the majority of saddles are specially designed for a specific sitting posture. On a City bike (or E-bike) you generally sit very upright, with your back at a 90° angle to the saddle. People who prefer a more sporty position on their City bike, and those who like a relaxed position on their Touring bike, have a slightly forward-bent sitting position, so that their back is at a 60° angle to the saddle. Those who prefer a sporty postion on their Touring bike sit with their back at a 45° angle to the saddle, in a postion that can be characterised as forward.
