With these Flash / Race Pro Black Prince brake pads from Swissstop you can brake with even better modulation than that of other brake pads you may be used to. The brake modulation of these pads is more linear than that of other pads; that is, the braking power is distributed better across the pads.

Swissstop Flash / Race Pro, decent braking but excessive skid wear
I bought these carbon wheel pads for use with Vision Metron wheels having used the standard ones which were already Swisstop branded Vision but in the "Flash Evo Black Prince" version. Unfortunately, these 'flash/race pro' brake pads, unlike the evo, have a softer compound and wear out quickly, leaving residual material on rim and pad. It's really incredible how much material wears off already after an outing with many descents. The only positive side is that compared to the evo model they are less noisy and do not whistle with the slightest contamination of dirt or excessive heat from the braking track. Braking is decent at least in the dry, in the wet I haven't had the chance to test them yet.
