The Shimano Deore RD-M6100 12-Speed Rear derailleur shifts quickly, keeps the chain well-tensioned and is quiet in all gears. The fast shifting of this derailleur is achieved in cooperation with the cassette and chain. This is because the cassette and chain are shaped according to HyperGlide+ technology. The performance of this rear derailleur then ensures that shifting is even faster and smoother. This rear derailleur is also equipped with a chain stabiliser or clutch. Thanks to this clutch, the derailleur does not bounce, even on rough terrain, so that you can always maintain your power. This stabiliser also ensures that the drivetrain remains very quiet and that the position of the derailleur is as optimal as possible in every position.
Finally, the design of the derailleur has been modified to prevent damage from stone chips.

A crooked derailleur hanger?
A common problem is a warped derailleur hanger. This can be caused by the derailleur coming into contact with something hard, for example during a fall. Fortunately, this can be repaired! Find out more here.
Make sure you clean your derailleur pulleys too!
Like the chain, derailleur pulleys get very dirty. This makes for a less enjoyable ride and doesn't help with the durability of your drivetrain. Therefore, when cleaning the chain and / or oiling the chain, it is advisable to also clean the derailleur pulleys. Do this by gently turning the chain while you run a cloth along the derailleur wheel. However, at some point the derailleur wheels will be worn out. Visit our blog to find out when to replace your derailleur pulleys and which ones you need.
