The Shimano D03S Resin are soft brake pads with an organic compound. Organic brake pads consist of soft materials. These brake pads therefore provide excellent dosage and braking power. Due to the soft compound this pad also grips quickly. In addition, the organic compound ensures that these brake pads make little noise while driving.
The disadvantage of organic brake pads is that they do not cope as well with higher temperatures that can occur during long descents. Also, organic brake pads wear faster if you ride in muddy conditions.
In short, if you use your bike in the summer and mainly on flats, then these organic brake pads are the perfect choice. If you use your bike mainly in the winter, or if you regularly go to hilly/mountainous areas, then you better go for Semi-Metallic or Metallic brake pads.
