Looking for a cheap winter wheel to replace a broken mavic aksium - good value from Shimano, well made wheel, not the lightest at just over 1kg but it’s saving my good wheels from the salt and the holes.

Very pleased with the wheel but would have helped to have better fitting instructions as I didn’t know where to put the spacer. I have a Cannondale with a 10 speed cassette and put the spacer on the spoke side after watching a YouTube video. Think this was right as I have not replaced a wheel before. Otherwise very pleased with item.

Nice wheelset for the winter

Was looking for replacement wheels IVB fractures in the rear wheel of my 14 year old Trek Madone . Caught a big pit on the first ride so even the tire was flat beyond expectation the wheel was still perfectly straight !

excellent rear wheel: good price, nice and straight, stiff, spins smoothly (despite weight) and looks attractive. unfortunately, the standard rim tape is too narrow and shifts, exposing the eccentric spoke holes and giving me 3x punctures within 200km.

Approx 100g heavier than my bent Mavic Aksium rear wheel but should be stronger. Offset rim allows spoke tensions to be balanced left to right, and 24 spokes instead of 20.

The bearing of my wheel was broken. Bearing with body replacement is more expensive than this wheel. So choice quickly made. Delivered super fast and courier-proof

I use this set summer and winter both on the road and also occasionally on gravel rides and have never had any problems with the wheels.

It’s on the turbo for the last 2 weeks and it’s been a great addition to my Zwift rides

Extremely robust training wheelset. Even with hard "Ortsschildsprints" no side twisting (I weigh 90kg - type track sprinter ;-) ) For a little over 130 € is of course not a lightweight to expect but once brought into swing roll the things very decent. Upon delivery, slight vertical runout on the rear wheel this was when driving but hardly, on fine, to not noticeable on coarser asphalt. Therefore 1 point deduction. Previous mileage on this set: 3500km As far as everything is still in order

Bought as a replacement and have not been disappointed. Done 500 mile on them in 3 weeks and not had an issue . Good wheels

Seems like a sturdy wheel. Not the lightest, but then that wasn't the expectation. I use these as training wheels, and they perform very well indeed. It's also not my first one, I am using these wheels also on my commuting bike with the very hard Tannus airless tires. So these wheels can take a hit. Will definitely buy again.
