Very good service, tyre difficult to put on rim.

- Robby, 28 December, 2023

Very good service from Mantel. Delivered quickly and well packaged. Tyre itself is very difficult to put on the rim alone. However, with an extra hand from a second person, it was easily fixed.

Pros & Cons

Fast shipping
Service from Mantel
Well packed
Almost impossible to put on the rim alone

Good tyre

- Florian, 2 August, 2023

Some difficulty getting it onto the wheel because of the stiffness of the rods, but once in place the seal is perfect. No loss of pressure. However, I was a little disappointed with the weight, which was higher than the 650g advertised. The one I received weighed 712g, which is 10% more, which is not insignificant.

Top all-round band

- Stijn, 23 August, 2022

I had ordered this band before. Very happy with it. Can be used in all conditions. A wider tire is needed in lots of mud. I don't have a compressor at home so took a while to get the tire on tubeless.

Pros & Cons

All-weather tread
Ideal rear tire
Not obviously tubeless without compressor

Fine band, unfortunately you still have to pedal yourself

- Peter, 26 July, 2022

Great tyre for this price, good grip and still easy to speed. Is a folding tyre so trickier to fit, use a little grease and patience.

Pros & Cons

Beautifully supple tyre
Good grip
Difficult to mount= folding tyre

I would order again.

- Christian, 24 May, 2022

Rides well and makes such a grippy noise when you put more weight on it in corners. I like that a lot. Has a sporty look, similar to the original tyre. To be honest, I bought it because of the look. The fitting itself went quite normally, but the perfect fit was impossible for me and I had to get help. Maybe I just don't have the experience. I wish Schwalbe would put the lettering back on in white instead of silver/grey.

Pros & Cons

Cool driving noise
Good grip
Sporty look
Difficult to fit with perfect fit

For use in the Netherlands a light running top band!!!

- Willem, 1 February, 2022

Tyre is suitable in various conditions. In really muddy conditions, the tyre falls a little short. The tyre runs light on the road and on average forest trails. If you ride the tyre tubeless get the maximum performance out of it as you can ride with less pressure in tougher conditions.

Pros & Cons

easy to make tubeless
little rolling resistance
Sufficient grip in average conditions
less suitable in heavy muddy conditions

Good XC tyre

- Antonio, 11 December, 2021

It is a good rear wheel for marathon/ XC, especially the harder version, the speed. The casing seems to be more solid than the previous versions and with a contained weight. Ideal companion for a front Ray

Pros & Cons

Easy to heel
Good grip
New carcass
A bit expensive

Pros & Cons

Good pattern
Lightweight

Good tyre with plenty of grip

- Peter, 25 August, 2021

I bought the 2.35. Nice and wide, nice profile, nice tyre. Very difficult to fit. You only get it on with two tyre levers and a lot of Dreft. And you also have to inflate it very hard before it pops into the rim (only works with detergent for lubrication). Considering the weight, I would choose the 2.25 next time. The brown sidewalls are also lighter than the black ones.

Pros & Cons

Lots of grip
rolls very lightly
Steers nicely
Heavy (2.35)
Very difficult to mount

Expensive,... and durability will still have to prove itself.

- Paul, 10 June, 2021

Great tyre, Very low profile though which makes me wonder how long it will last. You would almost replace it already when it is brand new. Future will tell. Previously always rode Smart Sam (reasonably high profile in the middle and still fast on the road), only my type could not be tubeless.

Pros & Cons

Also rides well on the road.
Fine tubeless.
Rides well on NL tracks.
Expensive tyre
Not yet ridden on a wet/muddy track
