Cycplus Smart Fan

This is a floor fan with 5 speed settings. These can be adjusted manually, but the main reason to buy this fan is its smart function. This means you can connect the fan to a speed, power or heart rate sensor and have the fan automatically customise its speed based on the readings from one of those sensors. So if your wattage (power), heart rate or speed increases, the fan will blow harder. You can also set the fan to respond to a combination of sensors. As my trainer transmits speed and power via a single (ant) signal, I have linked it to power and heart rate. In my opinion, this is the best combination for using the fan because at higher speeds you don’t necessarily want more cooling, as the highest speed is reached during descents and the legs are often kept still during these moments of rest or recovery. In the accompanying app, you can set the values for the 5 fan levels (in percentages) as well as your power and heart rate ranges, and the system takes these into account. Please note that the sensors can only be paired via the ANT protocol; Bluetooth is only used to connect the app to your phone or tablet. Conclusion: a top-notch fan, brand-independent and with plenty of options. The price is good compared to the alternatives, but if I’d been paying closer attention, I would have seen that this fan is 40 (!) euros cheaper at Bol!

The fan generates a lot of wind and the heart rate monitor or bike computer controls the appropriate cooling for the load profile. The price was reasonable and the delivery was quick and well packaged.

The device is superbly made, extremely quiet and reacts quickly to changes in heart rate or cadence.

It took a while to figure out the best automatic mode for me, but now set to power and I really like it. I already notice that I sweat a lot less.

The Cycplus F1 fan is simply top and thanks to Mantel.com available at a very good price. The F1 is easy to install. I operate it smart. It starts with the appropriate load and, based on my settings, adjusts itself to the three parameters of watts, speed and heart rate. The operating noise is very quiet, but it also blows very loudly when it needs to. A difference like night and day now with the fan. PS. I have hidden the enclosed power supply unit in the stand and used a fabric power cable. Absolutely clean look.

I had only a small household fan earlier for indoor cycling. I felt it was not powerful enogh. At the moment this fan became avaliable at Mantel I immediately ordered this fan which was a good decision. It is very versatile - the angle of the flow can be easily adjusted, very powerful, the smart functions work perfectly. And it is much cheaper than other cycling smart fans. I hope it will be a very durable item. Sp far - very good value for the price.
