Bontrager Verse Elite

Having tried several saddles from different manufacturers, I took the same brand as on my old bike and from the first ride I was super comfortable, no pain after 4 hours, so I found the saddle I needed.

After several outings both in the mountains with big differences in altitude and on the plains, I didn't feel any discomfort.

Similar padding to my Selle Italia Novus Superflow Evo Performance that needed replacing. The relationship seat bone width vs saddle width is not quite correct on the Mantel website. I had to take a size wider to sit properly. Compare the suggested saddle widths on the Verse Elite and the Verse Short Elite. So pay attention.

Well, good experience and sensations in the three outings I've done, I really liked the design in general and we'll see how it responds over time. For medium distance outings it's perfect

being able to test and return a saddle that doesn't fit is a big plus

I tried several saddles but almost all of them were too hard for me (no seat bones). And each time I got sore from my sit bones after about 25 km of good cycling, even further into the spring and so after several rides. Thanks to the 30-day return guarantee, I tried this saddle and it is just right. At a seat bone width of 11.5, 155 was the right size for me. It's firm but not hard, Another plus was the cover: on this I don't slide forward slowly like with other saddles. The shape is also nice: not too thin tip and fine width of the seat area. This makes a big difference to the enjoyment of cycling (I don't have to change my seat after 25 km) and therefore to my speed, because I can stay in the right position for *much* longer.

I was looking for a saddle with a recess in the sides. Partly due to mantel's help in choosing a saddle, I ended up with this type of saddle. I returned the first saddle after 2 weeks for free because of pain in the sit bones and ordered a narrower saddle. Saddle fits well now and the noble parts are spared. Personally I find the saddle a bit harder but it gives great support even on longer trips. Tip: for measuring the seat bones: remove the top layer of paper from the cardboard and sit on the ribbed side, the impression in the cardboard is then much better visible and the distance can be measured much more accurately.

After the Bontrager Montrose pro broke down after a crash o looking for a new saddle. Old saddle is no longer available so purchased the "replacement" Verse. I don't like it as much as the Montrose. There I could sit on it for days at a time without discomfort. With the Verse I can feel the opening in the middle which is slightly wider than with the predecessor. Old saddle was still in very good condition. If this one is as solid then the durability will be good.

Saddle for mountain bike use. Doesn't slip on the seat, easy to clean and seems resistant to falls and scratches. Once adjusted, it's almost "forgettable". Top notch as far as I'm concerned. No more ischial or lumbar pain.

This saddle suits me quite well. It's comfortable, but a little heavy compared to the competition.

Mantel's saddle selection tool is a godsend! I too sat on cardboard for 5 minutes.... and then answer the questions. But then you also get good advice! Since this saddle I no longer have a numb feeling after an hour of cycling. If this saddle comes out of the test as advice, then it is highly recommended.

I'm riding a spark with the original saddle, I couldn't do more than 40kms because of pain in my posterior, I replaced the saddle with a Bontrager Verse Elite, I've done 62kms and no severe pain.

Fine saddle. The saddle originally fitted to my mountain bike was much too narrow for me. Definitely recommend measuring your sit bones in the store itself for good advice.

Fine saddle. After riding on a too narrow and tight saddle for a long time resulting in a lot of saddle pain, this is a relief!

I really have less saddle soreness with this saddle than with my previous, closed saddle!

Got the saddle for mountain biking. In the woods, the saddle doesn't matter so much. Then there is so much variety. But the mountain bike is also on the trainer a lot in the winter. Then I am often longer in the saddle. I noticed that after 30 minutes I felt like the dog that just came out of anesthesia at the vet's and looked dumbfounded at that bandage between his legs. To avoid further reproductive issues, I sat down on a piece of cardboard. Took some margin and ended up with this saddle. The measuring instructions worked. By now I can bingwatch in this saddle without a penny of pain. No tingling and when I'm pi**ing after cycling, I can aim again and the floor stays clean as well.
