The Zipp 808 wheels are aimed at pure speed because of the 82 mm high rim. Thanks to optimal aerodynamics, you can cycle faster without extra effort.
Both tubeless and folding tyres can be mounted on the rims. This makes it possible to ride tubeless, with benefits such as lower rolling resistance, better grip and more comfort.
The Zipp ZR1 hubs, developed in Germany, have bearings with a good seal and improved durability. The 6 pawl body engages super fast so minimal energy is lost when you start pedalling.

Due to the carbon rim brake structure, this wheel is less suitable for long mountain descents with the risk of blowouts or rim deformation.
The height of the rim makes you more sensitive to side winds.

There is not much choice in brake pads. For the best braking performance and long life of the rims you should use Scope brake pads.
